Thank god we still have Radio Shack. I went in recently and found they were even selling arduinos. I've bought a bunch of components there for my electronics projects. It's not Fry's, but at least there's one 10 minutes away from my home in Nowhereville Vermont.

Who the fuck cares? Who would EVER use this stupid thing? I have flown a hundred times. They let you carry on a full size carry on bag, which is pretty big, AND something else that will fit under the seat; I usually choose a backpack. You can fit enough stuff in those two things for a week long trip. And no sweatshirt is going to hold a fraction of what you can fit in a full size upright suitcase. Why the fuck would I want to wear an ugly sweatshirt crammed full of hard pokey junk, look leotarded, and be uncomfortable for my entire flight? Is this a joke?

You don't have to have liked him, but you could have at least shown some respect rather than making the GNU (And by association, Linux, even though we hate you) community look like tools, instead of just yourself as you usually do.

Except that RMS is absolutely 100% spot on correct in his assessment. Some people (like you) just don't want to hear it. Nothing new here, really. For the record I am an ex Apple fanboy from roughly the Apple IIe days through OS8 when I finally gave up and moved to Linux on account of it being friendlier to software development.

HURD just never got off the ground making the point moot. Also userspace drivers have been showing up more in Linux anyways (pulseaudio, FUSE, X windows, etc). It's still a monolithic kernel, but if you really want to develop a userspace driver for some reason, it can be done, albeit with a performance hit.

Strong arm the market? I really don't think it's necessary or effective to make restoring our liberty vis a vis MJ with some sort of crazy socialist anti-industrial agenda. The MJ market will demand a locally grown boutique product. Think of how craft breweries have nabbed such a big share of the beer market despite a huge, well financed, and well entrenched legacy brewing industry.
