    I feel your pain man. High school plays are always way more work then you think they are worth at the time. And then the scary "faculty advisor" decides the set needs to be redone like a week before opening night. Arrg.

    so i guess you just want them to disable links in comments all together, cuz I seriously doubt theres a way to effectively block redirects. (At least by a machine) Take the extra five seconds to hover over the link.

    *I*'m definitely not an admin. I'm a college freshmen who uses Linux. Most people use shortcuts right? I look on symlinks as kinda really useful shortcuts.

    The author recommends you install the fonts in 2 or 3 different places. Whatever happened to installing them in one spot and symlinking to the others? Also removes the need to go thru the whole copy to the other directories rigamorale everytime you reinstall/upgrade.

    The Porche box does not come with 802.11 b and Firewire installed, and is a pound heavier than the Apple Titanium. (Note I'm not putting in the whole "Runs OS X or Not argument.)

    Well I didn't really wanna dive into the whole Microsoft vs. IBM method or whatever, but the MSN butterflys are literally five feet apart. Its like they tried to use them to make a dotted path to redmond or something. There are a lot of butterflys.

    This doesn't seem like a productive goal for a product.

    Maybe because it is not a product? Or if it is, it's filling a niche market?

    Cars should be designed to be easy to use. The whole steering wheel pedal combo is too counter-intuitive. To design a vehicle such that it can only be used by licensed drivers is absurd. The automobile should appeal to as many people as possible without losing its power.

    Have you tried apt yet? Seems like thats exactly in the middle. Just get a base system up and running and then apt-get anything else you need.

    There is ntaim, centericq, and tac (which i hadn't heard about eariler) which is mentioned in this thread which i hadn't heard about before. There are probably more. Theres also a project to create an IRC->AIM proxy, which would allow you to use your favorite IRC client (such as bitchx) whose name escapes me at the moment. There are probably others as well.

    Because the source to Tux racer maybe very informative in terms of a racing game, it may not help in making a flight simulator, or a platform sidescroller, or a FPS...you get the idea. The book presumably provides a good overview of programming games, issues specefic to Linux, design, implentation, and all that other good bs. The source code to tuxracer might be able to tell you how, but hopefully this book (which I haven't read) tells you why

    Maybe Xandros could license RedHat branding. Lots of people (relativley) have heard of redhat. They could call it RedHat Xandros DE. Don't even change the package format or anything, just slap a redhat logo on it.
