Nitrogen is not man made. It's just another natural ingredient that's been refined into suitable products for consumption. Take a look at the numbers for Iron, and even water if you're into calculating the percentage so-called "man-made" sources. You could say that any food you try that hasn't grown in the wild of it's own accord is "man-made". To take my point to the extreme, the biosphere is a mostly closed system, and a good percentage of all elements in consumables has been through a human at some point in time.

As I understand it, every element emits a different pattern of colors of light. As light travels, this color turns redder and redder, having to do with energy loss, but the pattern stays the same. The patterns are distinct enough to tell which elements are glowing. So depending on how far away the light is, we just measure how red it has "shifted". Since we assume that the speed of light is constant, and that energy loss over distance is constant, we can determine both the distance traveled and the age of the light. Quick question: is the energy loss prove-able over interstellar distances?

Why is everyone ignoring the fact that a standard keyboard would still be available to work with? The other points of the presentation were still valid also, such as lower cost and multi-point sensing. I would certainly think that if the lower cost part was serious, we could use it to change computing from a stand-off display to a touch sensitive display table. (Which would be ultimately more user friendly than the disjointed mouse touchy and monitor visual system we use now). You could even keep your standard widgets, because I didn't see any way of globally panning the way you can with the standard scroll bars.
