When I wrote my post I was careful to not state that it is celebrated by the majority of the world population and instead state it is an international holiday. The reason being that China and India together have about 1/3 of the world's population and they are Buddhist and Hindu I believe. So to answer your first question, if you don't know what international means then look it up and that will help you figure out what "international holiday" means. And your statement that insinuates that *I* said that Christmas is celebrated by the majority of the people in the world is incorrect based on evidence provided in my first sentence of this post. I forgot about New Year's Day so it could also be an international holiday (it only takes 2 countries to make it international) and I never even heard of May Day.
So when is your promotion scheduled to head of the UN? You'll then have all the power you could ever want to decimate the Christian religion and anyone who has allegiance to it.
Possibly but in the US of A there are some Caucasian (and some Latino as well) tribes that constitute the majority of the population who celebrate Christmas because it is a religious holiday and not just a reason to buy presents for loved ones. Just like we celebrate our independence from England, the new year, the big meal involving Indians and the Europeans in ~1620, as well as those who fought in wars, and some US Presidents too. The interesting thing is that Christmas is one of the few, if not the only, holiday that is an international holiday and yet there are still some individuals and corporations in the US who want to demean it and/or who are afraid to show that they celebrate it.
What would be the point of pointing out that christmas was originally a pagan holiday, just to rile up the Christians a little more and then complain when they fight back a little bit too rough? The fact it was originally a pagan holiday is irrelevant since that is not why it is celebrated today. It is observed today to celebrate the birth of Christ so it is as far from paganism as it can get. And I'll take your word on the Xmas origins but I'll comment to say that we have enough people trying to secularize a religious holiday without changing its name also, so it is good that Xmas isn't used for secular purposes.
And actually, I haven't heard anyone complain about some people calling it Xmas. What I do hear is people(vast majority on TV) going *further* than that and calling it just a holiday (we don't call New Year's or Thanksgiving just a holiday; we call them by their rightful name) which is ambiguous and therefore it sounds stupid. *That* is what is getting CHristians riled up this year because corporations try to appease the minority of people who don't celebrate Christmas to begin with and who wouldn't care what it is called anyway. Commercials on TV mention "list" instead of actually saying "Christmas list". I call that pathetic especially since they don't mind the cashflow that CHristmas brings to them but they won't dare call it what it is. I'll call them cowards because that's what they are and I'm not afraid to say it. So you can call me an extremist if you wish but I hear liberals call conversatives that on/. all the time and it seems that's all liberals can come up with to fight back.
The game was clearly released before the holiday season to take advantage of gullible users (hmph, me.. =\) who needed to spend their hard earned cash on a game that was only half developed.
Given that there are probably hundreds of holidays(at least 10 of which are federally observed by the US gov't) in a year the phrase "holiday season" is too ambiguous to be useful.
You do realize that link goes to RH 6.2 which is about 5 years old, if not more? Autoprobing works very well nowadays as well which minimizes the need to ever have to configure the X server manually. Not *any* description has those warnings; newer ones don't.
I think the reason we say the month and day first before the year is because when we are talking we are usually referring to current events of the same year so the year is understood. For log filenames and other things that can span more than a year (ie. historical data) and into the distant pass so better ways of organizing the dates is needed.
Traditionally, the AGU meets in San Francisco in the early part of December, in between the end of classes at the Universities and the start of the Holiday rush.
So that's anywhere from December to....next December? When *isn't* there a holiday rush? You may want to be a bit more specific next time. Arbor day, veteran's day, memorial day, 4th of july, labor day, thanksgiving, columbus day, president's day, new year's, christmas, martin luther king day, Hanukkah, Boxing Day (Can.), and a bunch of others that I don't know about or can remember right now. I know there is a rush on the swimming pools around Memorial Day and on turkeys for Thanksgiving. What kind of rush did you mean anyway?
According to the SAS Survival manual by John Weisman - if a Tsunami is inbound your best defense is to be over 1km inland or 100ft above sea level.
Based on the Indian Ocean Tsunami stats you wouldn't have survived if you listened to that guy. Last year's Christmas Tsunami was 115 ft high in certain areas and went 4 miles inland.
This was posted for all the gays out there complaining about their interests not being shared on slashdot. Another political correctness move of course. It's all about the money.
And a long time before death occurs would be bouts of insanity which should have prompted outside help to step in and remove the guy from playing just like a bartender steps in and cuts off patrons when they have drunk too much.
First AOL has lost nearly 6 MILLION customers since 2003, bringing their total subscriber base close to 20 million, down from about 26.5 million in late 2002. Their numbers will exponentially decrease as cable...
I was defrauded out of about $800 for a laptop. Other people voiced complaints and luckily the guy was caught and convicted. The defrauding act occurred around 1997 or 1998. I think maybe about 2 or 3 years after that I got a letter in the mail from the State Attorney General for Idaho that the guy had been convicted. Sometime last year I got the first check where he started to pay me back since he works while in jail. The check was for about $50. Other people were ripped off too and they are reimbursed based who had the most money stolen. I don't know where I fall in that list but it looks like it will take a while before I'm fully reimbursed, if I ever am. At least he is in jail though. I'm not sure how much time he got though.
What actually happens first, when the star can not generate enough heat (due to pressure/size) to fuse the next particle or the pressure of gravity overpowers the pressure being created from the fusion which causes the star to collapse on itself?
"Illness and Christmas conspire..." since you mention "tree" later on in the quoted text and only one holiday in December has a tree. I guess we have another person too coward to state what they really mean and make it completely ambiguous to the level of sounding stupid. I guess you could have meant Arbor Day too huh? You didn't exactly qualify the fact you were referring to December so I shouldn't jump the gun and assume you meant Christmas; Arbor Day is fun too, right?
Oh yeah, like we make it a point to kill the people of Iraq. Those who are being targeted are terrorists and I'm sure civilians die in the process but they are not being targeted. No war has 0 civilian casualties. We did not invade their country; we had covert military ops to infiltrate various targets in order to flush out their leader. The fact an army base exists anywhere does not detract from the lives of the people who have it in their midst.
Too bad they don't ever remember that when they spell "a little" they don't type "alittle". I guess they should of paid more attention in school. Those who spell "a lot" as two words should notice the intentional grammatical error I inserted.
*moves hands up and down* Freeing the oppressed people of Iraq and removing terrorists or deploying IPv6 for more IP addresses. Gee, I wonder which is more important to mankind?
I've messed up playing a fast-paced game like that because I was talking to someone but yet other times, somehow, I can be not even thinking about what I'm doing and end up with a perfect lap. I guess it's similar to being on the road in real life and thinking so much about a particular topic that when I am consciously aware of driving again I don't have any recollection of what I just experienced the last mile or so that I drove. Kind of scary.

Now we have things like typecasting. There's definitely something to be said for that.

Don't you mean logarithmically? :)
Actually it's more like because Good plays by the rules and Evil doesn't.

All FBI field offices already have WinXP desktops from Dell.

What about the domestic engineers who are stay-at-home Moms/Dads?

And I have to agree with the parent post that the winner will probably be female . . . except there were no female pictures when I checked.
Surgeries are very non-invasive nowadays and recovery is very quick. There is still time.

That would be Bambi Does New Orleans for those who watch F/X, HBO, Skinemax, and Showtime.
