Don't you know that we all use Windows? We just act like we use Linux because it's the cool thing to do. Other geeks really think you are a totally bas a$$ hacker if you say that you use Linux.
I have three cards -- two credit and one debit. I have had them all for over 2 years. I have never signed any of them, and I have never been asked to sign them. I have been asked for ID many times; which I like.
One of the biggest problems I see with credit/debit cards is when the merchants system prints the entire account number on the receipt. Most of them don't do this anymore, but there are still some that do.
Yes, absolutely! It requires that proper security controls are in place and that there are checks and balances. SOX auditors will look for users that have more authority than they should as well as many other security related items.
We've upgraded all our XP PCs to SP2 and haven't had any major problems. We, of course, ran into a few minor issues, but they were easy fixes. We're done!!! What's the big fuss?
Get the RoadTrip FM transmitter from Griffin(i have one; work's great). It's for your car, but the FM transmitter detaches and connects to your PC, too. Connect it to your PC and start the music. Use cheap FM stereo's throughout your home.

you could change all of those passwords in a single place. If there were single signon, then you could change your password once instead of going to every site and changing it. More like corporate security where you have to change your password every 30, 60, or 90 days.
If you were the victim of a phishing scheme and later realized it, you could change your password - done.
We run $1.4 billion company with a Windows 2000 domain and 98 & XP clients. It is very rare that we have any problem with the Windows OS. When we do have problems it's usually due to poorly written third-party software. Oh wait -- we know what we're doing...nevermind.

I know vulnerability in their software probably generated these incorrect numbers.
The parent is obviously flamebait. Why would you make such a genernal statement without taking anything other than the OS into consideration?
"Most serious people" don't hire idiots like you.
It would be nice to look back at past reports and see if they were even close to what eventually happened. War in the middle-east????

Our city installed it's own fiber network... guess who our local teloc is? BellSouth.
We now have nice, cheap, cable modem (and TV)service ($35/mo = 512k/1.5M); and ip phone service is coming soon.
Aren't there some restrictions or regulations on the sale of power?
That's just simply not true. You are saying that Windows XP cannot operate idependently of Microsoft Office. One word; lie. You are a moron.

A lot of small private planes don't have it anyway.

I didn't say 'never' -- I said 'rarely'
is used for lots of illegal stuff. I say we should make it illegal for anyone to use the internet. That should stop all illegal activity worldwide.
While we're at it, let's also make it illegal to buy a deck of playing cards -- they could be used for illegal poker games in some states/countries.

Can't we just leave it alone.
Oh wait...nervermind, if we did that everything would work and we'd no longer be needed.
