im not saying it should be prefered to DVI, im saying that they should make the monitor compatible with it, hardwarewise it would be very cheap, and it would make the monitor available to non mac users and mac users who cant be bothered to shell out the extra $$$s for the graphics card when they already have the non Dual Link card...

currently, in the uk at least, there is a zero tolerance on mobile phones during exams, you hand in the phone at the start of an exam, and collect it at the end, it is asked that you do not bring the phone at all into the examination rooms, and if youre found with one you instantly get 0 for the exam you are taking (as with all cheating) even if it is switched off... as ive already said, if you HAVE to have a mobile phone on you, you switch it off and hand it to the invigilator...

i like the idea of a book for life (mine usually end up in tatters, i read at the beach a lot, especially the books i read several times over, they get splashed with salt water etc) but i think id rather be able to lend the book to friends and get it replaced every so often (which im sure both the publishers and the authors would appreciate) than not

i was wondering about that... ive got a more than decent box (gig of dual channel ddr, p4 2.8ghz p4) and a 9800XT, i built it about 7 months ago and am getting a bit worried about frame rates id get in D3... running at 1280x1024 with full detail, etc im not sure if ill be getting playable rates... i guess overclocking is an option id be willing to take (got 4 120mm silent fans on the box, cpu goes up to 3.45 no problems, havent had the need to push the gpu yet (cpu was to see seti@home times))... does anyone have a clue as to what the frame rates will be like when compared to the demo released ages ago?

thats also because with a truck the difference in weight (as a percentage) between having a V6 and V8 lump would be insignificant compared to that in a lighter car... the same is true of older bentlys (the only difference between the 5.5 and 6 litre versions was that the 6 litre got an extra 0.2mpg, acceleration and top speed are identical, i doubt the same would be true for power and acceleration curves) on a lighter car (well... anything under 2 tonnes) the weight difference would have a detrimental effect on the milage... also, newer mercedes V12s can run in 2 halves, in the city with only half the cylinders pumping to get better fuel efficiency. and also, a struggling engine might be in the power band, but it also causes excess vibration which wastes more energy than it saves... you never want a car to struggle, its not remotely healthy for the engine, the mileage or the car in general...
