WOW! I had missed the functionality of the second tuner and wil be plugging that in tonight!
Thanks for the insight and I'd give you a +1 Insightful if I had any points left....
I have honestly tried to do that to radio - I reach for the control panel in the car to skip back 7 (mine is seven seconds, not eight) and thought "WTF?"
I really need a fast rewind/replay on my radio, my wife, my kids, my friends, my job....
As far as being sorry that your kids will never be able to know Milne's Pooh as you did - well I'm sorry, too.
You can rectify this, though.
The way I ensured Milne's original rendition would not be forgotton was that I went out and bought the book and then read it to my son - before he watched a disney derivative. Did the same with Harry Potter, 20,000 Leagues, Swiss Family Robinson, etc.
Now, he understands that the stories presented in movies and on television are interpretations of other stories. It makes it sooooo much easier to explain scenes in other audio/visual presentations like "America's Most Wanted" and the nightly news.
Having experiend the suble and not so subtle changes from the original book (like the Time Machine) to the derivative works (like Wishbone's pretty good potrayal or the time machine,) my son is aware that even the news or educational television may change a story by interpretation or omission when "presenting the facts." This is, IMO, a very valuable lesson with far reaching consequenses.

As for the Copying of Anime in the Lion King, I have a friend that is 100% anti-disney for their "rape" of the Japanese version of this movie. He brought me several video tapes of episode of the Engilsh adaptation of the Leo the Lion story, but I failed to see the similarities. He explained that if I read the original comic books I would see. They've not been produced.
It's easy to "hate" disney, but often hard to back up an emotional response with cold hard facts.
Robert Massa:There is nothing wrong with wanting link popularity for your site and I'm saying there is nothing wrong with sending out email to people you don't know from Adam and trying to conduct business without the benefit of money, but there is also nothing wrong with paying for the value you perceive with cash. I call it doing business.
I call it SPAM!!!!!!
Robert Massa:Maybe I really am the Internet anti-Christ for saying this, but here goes.
I am a salesman. I sell things for a living. I get hired by my clients to sell things. That's what I do, I'm good at it and I make no apologies for it. If a cynical SEO uses the term "eke out cash" as a synonym for "make a sale," then yes, I am guilty.
"Besides, if there is life on Venus, I'd much rather study it in situ than bring some back here. While it almost certainly wouldn't survive in an Earth environment, that 'almost' worries me a bit...
Almost --
Does that remind you of byrus or Ripley?
So, the 1st moon out there we started calling "Moon"
The second got something I can't pronounce, Crithne. The third receives the sad designation J002E2. What's up with that?
1st kid named "Boy", 2nd named "Methusala" and 3rd named "3".
Here is an example of the obvious need of scientists to receive more liberal arts education and some ethics schooling!
I've been weary of it for awhile. I was pissed that todays national coverage precluded me from receiving my normal traffic reports that would have saved me a full hour on my commute do to a fatality accident. I had to sit and listen to bagpipes and bells toll.
The elementary school has stolen "Patriot Day" from April and stolen my son's excitement over his 7th birthday by force feeding him coverage, rememberances, and asking his scout den to do the schoolwide flag ceremony.
I don't think the acquisition is final yet. It seems like, in time, paypal and any other existing money clearing houses, as well as esnipe and the like, will be acquired by ebay, who will naturally become big and bloated like [karma whore] M$ code, [/karma whore] Di$ney, GE, Tyco, Enron, U.S. Government, etc. It's just the way business works. Start small, righteous, and efficeint and progress toward bloat.
lately it's "Don't let Phil sing" and the "other" discussion which reads more like slashdot: routers/switches/hubs/lans/wans/and, of course, my wardriving plugs!

-2) because of Pause, stop, rewind, easy search, 20x fast forward, slow motion, need I go on?
I just hope that the Replay listing updates will last long enough for me to be able to afford the replacement!
I love my Replay and would would give up my dvd players before I'd go back to only VCR for recording.
Does that make sense?
naturally....
keillor is the best thing on radio today - today meaning era, not November 11, 2002. but I digress...
Actually, the responses, mostly, seemed adequate to me.
Disagreement on may part does not constitute a bad read, no matter how I act!
I agree completely.
Have the *hands on face* "oh my god!" knee-jerk types really taken over?
We Native Americans were not removed, simply locked away, diluted, and ignored.
Our removal was far from a stunning success.
First off - nice sig.

You are the anti-christ. Case Closed. But the girl next door is only 14. Good news is, by the time she's legal, the technology will be that much better!

Very weary indeed.
The ONLY paper in Dallas publish the same type of info last week on the front page of thier technology section.
That would cut down on the junk piling up in third world countries....
