WTF are you talking about? Cmd-Tab is the application switcher in OS X. It has nothing to do with switching between the tabs within a Safari window. To do that you press Cmd-Shift-(left or right arrow).
WTF does your comment mean?!? You'll be able to play your current DVDs on the PS3. And since it will also be able to play Blu-Ray discs, it offers an upgrade path in case you choose to go that route. It's not like it's forcing you to buy movies in Blu-Ray...
It is possible that you will discover something your physician doesn't - after all, it's your body.
While I agree with everything you said in your post, you shouldn't forget that the doctor may also find something that you would never be able to diagnose (in your analogy think of a keylogger that AdAware or SpyBot don't detect). Just because you found something online that you think may help you, you should always remember that the doctors are the experts in the field. And as always, you should get a second opinion for anything really important.
For example, I can go beginning of line, end of line, beginning of document (with CTRL), end of document (with CTRL), page up, page down, select document (CTRL-5/center key) and enter.
All of this can be done using the block of keys above the inverted-T, too. Okay, so I'm not sure about the CTRL-5 combo. But I'd say it's just as easy using the Home/End/PgUp/PgDn keys. It's really just a matter of getting into the habit of using them.
Not necessarily. But it can be argued that heavy downloading helped to put the content providers off from licensing their material for several years. Which seems to be exactly what ASOTVs point was...
Hmm, we work hard with Apple to give them the best possible access to our code...they don't use any of the resources we set up to try to encourage them to work with us.
Okay, I didn't follow this very closely when Apple originally started using KHTML code. Did Apple request that you set up these mailing lists and special code repositories for them, or did the KDE team set these up in the hopes that Apple would utilize them? I'm just trying to get a clearer understanding of the history behind the current dissatisfaction...
Actually, I fully agree with you here. My "evil evil Flash" comment was more of a jab at the people that despise everything Flash. Using Flash for video is actually quite nice. The big gripe I have with it is what you mention, standard video controls. Having to build them separately and then integrate them with the FLV/SWF file is a bit ugly. OTOH, it does allow for full customization of the GUI. Oh yeah, my only other gripe with Flash video is that it's being used for ads (I'm talking the annoying ads placed in the middle of a webpage, not like these video clips). Then again, that's what Flashblock is for...

They're Flash files with video as the content. Go check out the trial copy of Sorenson Squeeze for an idea of what options you have for this sort of compression. Aside from it being evil evil Flash, it's really not bad...
SCO is threatening everyone with lawsuits over illegal use of the letter C. Apparently they feel they got the rights to it when the Santa Cruz Operation sold their assets and changed their name to Tarantella.
While your answer is correct, you don't seem to have addressed the OP's (OT's?) argument, which is that he's supposedly required to release the source code including his changes. This is only true if they were selling their modified versions to other people. Since they were in no way (that was mentioned) selling compiled binaries or modified versions of anything, they are under no obligation to publish those changes.
In short, feel free to do whatever you want with GPL'd code in house, just be sure you're ready to give all those changes back to the community if you decide to sell the product you made with it.
Ya think?

That's why I like how OS X handles this. Cmd-Tab to switch apps, Cmd-` to switch between windows within an app.

By April 1984, Apple had managed to sell only 65,000 units...
I told the sales team not to use Excel...
Well, don't forget that he managed to get a Lisa out of it. (note: he named the machine after his illegitimate daughter)

Is that IT scrap, or it's crap?
...meaning Microsoft didn't do anything this week
Yeah, I guess that half hour infomercial on eMpTyVee doesn't count as anything...
Hehehehe...I'll take an electric Joy anyday...
C'mon, a slashdot reader named Jenny?
Sounds good. Just don't let that kid in Australia anywhere near one...

The irony here is that the film clip they would show at 11 is most likely shot/stored on a betamax descendent.

And now everyone who pointed out that the supposed "editors" can't spell for shit are getting modded down as "offtopic" and "troll"
I didn't read it. I skimmed through it, saw that it boiled down to "how to install yellow dog on a mini" and posted my comment.
So we don't spell it "acquire", anymore? :P

Can we put the leopard in there with them?
Next up on Slashdot: How to install Windows on that pile of hardware you just bought!
Umm, why/how did this get posted?
ermm, change the word "sell" to "distribute" up there...
