Yeah yeah, typo in the subject line (if only I'd made the 'r' a 'c')...As for the dual layer drive, yes, it probably is. I still don't know anybody who's ever bought a piece of dual layer media though...
I work for a journal that sells PDF copies of our articles to customers. I still get bounced messages from Hotmail accounts saying that our 1.5-2MB attachments exceed their per message limit, even though it was supposedly bumped up to 10MB over a year ago...
Replying to myself, but it's easier than figuring out which of you I should reply to. Thanks for the answers. I kind of figured that's what it was, but I just wanted to make sure. Next question: Anyone else a little concerned now that Google has the ability to begin making a cell-phone directory of users?
Thanks to our corporate IT policy, I can't go to the gmail page. However, WTF does "Please take note that sign-up occurs via mobile phone at the moment" mean?
...it was Apple under Jobs' stewardship who bought out NeXT.
Actually, it was Apple under Amelio who bought NeXT. Along with the purchase came a certain Steve Jobs who served Amelio in an advisory role. Amelio stepped down from CEO in spring of 97 and Jobs stepped into the Interim CEO position (iCEO). After a bit of that he signed on full time.
I just finished watching the series last week and I hafta say that I was pretty damn impressed. Sure, it's not the best show that's ever been made, and it certainly had it's cheesy moments (totally intentional according to the behind the scenes bits). But all in all it made for some damn entertaining television. Looking forward to seeing the movie next month...
It would seem a lot more useful if they beamed you coupons or discounts that you could use for say the next 24 or 48 hours. Of course, that would also involve setting up the infrastructure for redeeming those coupons...
About a month ago a friend gave me his "old" AIW 9800 (he upgraded to a 6600). Ever since I swapped out my trustworthy Ti4200 (no problems with it ever), I've gotten to play the BSOD game 5 or 6 times (yes, I disabled the "spontaneously reboot" checkbox). Ahhh, good ol' win32k.sys and ATI drivers. Two great tastes that taste great together...

The DVDs are still 4.7GB capacity. The hard disk space in the device equals 1TB (2 x 500GB).
They should just have microsoft roll back a few of their stability patches. That way no one program will ever run for longer than three hours... : p
I agree that's certainly one way of looking at it...

But I thought ME was 5 years old...So confused...
...used most commonly in online business...
Except the term SKU was heavily in use long before online business existed.

It would have been interesting if Steve had a presentation at IDF, but that's not likely to happen.
Oh, I'm sure it'll happen. It will just be next year's IDF.
Because technically it was a bug, and not an easter egg.
Remember that time when Taco tried to revamp the slashdot login system and none of the stories had comments for like half a day? Ahhh, memories...
I like them cos they make me feel more secure...

Score one for the little guy!
And by "little guy" I mean "multinational media conglomerate."
No wonder I'm so afraid of Dutch cows...
I think it's his way of saying that he's a first post whore...

While Google is making steps forward, slashdot is making steps backwards...
And how exactly is this different from what's on the radio?
We wouldn't have any reason to go to windowsupdate.microsoft.com everyday without it...
Except for the fact that Flickr allows you to download the original image as well as a variety of resampled/resized versions...
