He's bringin it up because there's nothing about absoulte speed here. Samsung is saying they made their processor faster by a larger margin than qualcom did this year but they are not saying it's faster than qualcoms. they did the same thing with the A10. samsung claimed a faster clock speed and big improvements in battery usage. Meanwhile the slower clock spees A10 is actually faster to do anything, and uses less battery.
his point is samsung spec are completely non-informative.
So were down to comparing rates of improvements? How does one compare two brands when one of them got 25% faster than it's last chip and the other got 40% faster. Does that mean the latter was abysmally slow to begin with so it was easier to make faster. There's no information content here.
it's also not news.
A newsworthy headline would be samsung latest processor is slower and uses more battery. I full expect every generation to be better than the last but if you can't actually make useful comparisons there's nothing newsworthy here.
The plan appears to assume the problem is water transport to the poles. That is, the poles are cold enough but the problem is a lack of water to freeze on the surface.
Yet when there is global warming the first thing that happens is moisture transport increases. More water evaporates into clouds and some of it, more of it, goes to the poles than before.
Thus the long term problem is not a lack of water transport.
Nope Nope. they are earning their standard of living by farming. If they can't have a tractor then they have to burn. So you made the point you just said nope to.
Presumably the air pollution is coming from some activities that raise living standards to afford clean water, public hospitals, health insurance, and reduced crime. Can we have a figure on how many lives are saved by air pollution as well?
Yes in an ideal world we can have both so it's important to recognize air pollution is more than an eyesore.
Yes we all know that on-line polls are so reliable. This is why Mt. Dew will be naming their new flavor either "Hitler did nothing Wrong" or "Diabeetus". The people never stuff polls. The reason Vim won is simple, all those unemployed people have a lot of time on their hands, like the Slackware slackers.
LibreOffice by the way blows chow. It's sole stated goal is to have the look and feel of Microsoft Word. Such an aspiration.
BY the way, is there any linux product that has the look and feel of Apple's Keynote. Now that's something to aspire to.
They are basically asking apple to convert something that lets the consumer manage their own privacy and connectivity to an oozing sore exposed to any NFC bacteria the stores want to throw at it. Basically NFC versions of cookies and indelible cookies to track you and your purchases.
Well, if the lights are driven by cameras then on major streets where there is a designated left turn lane we will see shorter light intervals and thus greater flow on the main channels. So everyone should benefit.
However you have to realize that the typical journey you make doesn't involve many turns at all and there's very little optional turning. The UPS diver has a very convoluted path with lots of options in the order.
Left turns have a higher rate of severe accidents as well. UPS also trains it's drivers to put their seatbelts on with their left hand. Why? Because they can start the engine with the right. Saves time.
Right. A bit here a bit there and pretty soon you have saved a whole byte. Overloading the date value with multiple meanings is so 1980s programming. Maybe they could also start using special dates for other meanings too! that way they could save another bit somewheres
Google is the new Microsoft which was the computer equivalent of the Fuller Brush salesman shoving his foot in your door. I hope this is OFF by default.
So the quarter before the last quarter was shorter than average but I didn't see any articles saying that was misleading because it was a short quarter. No this is only brought up when the newas sounds good.
In reality what's being argues about here is the rate of growth of the rate of income. a second derivative. Apple's trend is actually growing in revenue steadily steadily.
Unless you went to a vocational school Your 120 hours was mostly courses in other subjects. English, Math, physics, history, etc.... On top of that the course you took that were CS courses also likely included a lot of things not related to the higher level instruction in Machine learning. I'm presuming there are plenty of people with college degrees and even electrical engineering and math and physics majors out there. an 18 month training period on top of that specializing in machine learning would be well above anything a masters student woul dget
I', not proposing to replace a college degree. I'm proposing there's a huge pool of trainable people with college degrees already
"Nobody goes to that night club anymore, it's too crowded".
You become what you hate. It's an astonishingly true aphorism for many reasons. And google is on the path to becoming the new uber asshole.

thanks for posting a press release.
or should I say Carma.
The R&D park is the Donut hole.
Which member of the Park family, is Apple?
Wait, that's a legit company? I assumed it was a virus. It always pops up anytime I visit any sketchy site with the most obnoxious ads.

Self aware text editors trouble me.

I'm pretty sure this was the plot of the 12 Monkeys.
About Cane Toads. or for that matter read Farley Mowats stories of what wolves actually eat.

The penny finally dropped.

I recall decades ago Xerox tried marketing an erasable paper copy machine. Never heard of it? Right. It wasn't popular.
If you can get 512Gbits on one chip why are they expensive? Unless yields are low chips are not expensive to manufacture.
