if you can write me a regex that filters that out 80% of the time with 0 false positives, i will pay you 6 figures a year to sit on a chair in my museum as one of life's "mysteries".
Pay me six figures a year and I will sit in a chair and do it for you manually.
Could it have been at the spot where there was a layer change? I've noticed that my el-cheapo player pauses for a couple beats during layer changes, but my slightly more expensive Sony handles them almost unnoticably.
There are many different types of touchscreen technology. The least expensive and the most common is a resistive touchscreen. These are also the least durable and give the most distortion. You can touch them with just about anything (including a golved hand) and they will work.
If you want something a little more durable, go with a capacitive touchscreen. These will cost a bit more, but they will be MUCH more durable and will look much better. You have to use a bare finger on them, but for indoor use this is an acceptable tradeoff.
There are other, less common, more expensive types that you are not likely to come across as well. Do your homework. I work in a casino - we have thousands of touchscreens. Gamblers are brutal, and all touchscreens are a PITA, but I think the capacitive type are your best bet.
I still use Kermit almost daily. I intereact with my casino's slot system with a VT100 terminal emulator. If I want to download reports to use in another application, I have to use Kermit to get them.
While a little more than the $200 you would like to spend, the Canon Rebel line is an excellent choice. You can adjust the camera to do anything from fully automatic everything, to fully manual, and everything in between. I've had a Rebel G for several years now and it has never disappointed me. The pictures are always excellent and the autofocus (should you choose to use it) is the fastest I have ever used.
I don't publish the logs on my very small, low-traffic site and I get quite a bit of this as well. All of the non-legitimate referrers on my site seem to be weblogs. No porn so far. I just ignore them. Referrer stats are the least useful part of my logs anyway.
it's not like the fbi wasn't running amok yesterday though... yesterday they were justifying spying on anti-war prosters by claiming that lawful dissent was potentially terrorism. their big argument to support this assertion? anti-war demonstrators have attended "training camps"... and terrorists often attend "training camps". ergo: protesters == terrorists.
Well these hippies can't have it both ways. Protestors can't set fires, destroy property, and cause havoc in the streets and then not expect law enforcement to take some proactive measures to try to prevent lawless acts.
Well, the question was about the fires in San Diego. Hemet, as you know, is in Riverside County. In San Diego, there was a phone number that I gave in my previous post that was set up specifically to be a clearinghouse for fire information. Maybe it's time to lean on your county supervisors to set up something in your area.
I found the problem!
That's really good. Even though +5 Funny doesn't help Karma, I would have wanted that one under my belt anway - why did you post as AC??
Because I copied it from bash.org, and I didn't want to take credit for it.

Or better yet, don't look at the potato peelers and focus instead on the spatula that you came to get.
I would if Slashdot would make an SCO-specific filter.
They do, except it's labeled Caldera.
Go see the naked people. The Star Trek Experience sucks.

My biggest mistake was finding this website. I've wasted more time here that could have been spent doing my job and getting actual work done.
If anybody else was from Techlands BBS in South Florida, please e-mail me... I used to be "Davy Crockett" back then :-)
Check here. This website is set up to reunite BBS users. Note: I am not affiliated, just happen to know of it.
So, until they offer to give ME a portion of the savings from mailing every month, they'll just have to keep licking envelopes.
I think the more likely scenario is that they'll start charging you for a paper bill and offer to let you do it online for free.

What do you think the C and M in ICBM stand for?
Ummmm... Continental and Missle (Inter-Continental Ballistic Missle).

/. featured a story about the buyout 2 years ago, yet the new company has yet to bring service back.
It's back in San Diego and Denver.
Yeah, it's Monday. I'm comedy impaired.
If there weren't viruses to exploit holes, then holes would not get fixed.
But is there were no viruses to exploit the holes, then the holes would not need to be fixed.
Call me a jingoist if you want, but French Canadians piss me off. Learn english for christ's sake!
See my sig. That is all.
And as for i960 nearly all raid cards have one.
It's also used in all Game King and S2000 series slot machines manufactured by IGT (the largest slot manufacturer in the US).
Meh, you just renamed them, didn't you?
Dammit!
Yeah, I did too. In fact I deleted everything. Prove I didn't.
I'm in hemet
