i watched tv from the 80s. magnum pi, dukes of hazzard, a-team, et cetera. i liked it. i was young.
However, watching old reruns on cable, i can't believe how bad some of them were. Magnum PI, stands the test of time (though the fight scenes seem corny), but for the rest, they seem stuck in the past. I've moved on.
most white americans i've known would be willing to try anal sex (with a girl), but don't believe most girls are willing to try it. Studies have shown that women who haven't had anal sex are extremely repulsed by it, but 50-60% of women that have had anal sex found it enjoyable.
In many other countries (all throught south america and the arab world, for example), anal sex is much more common and not so taboo, especially amongst sexually active teenagers/adults that want to save their virginity until marriage. Think back to the ancient greeks or romans.... lots of anal sex back then. I haven't seen any research, but it's logical to assume northern africa is a hot bed of anal activity.
i don't know about blacks bing biased towards homo/bi sexuality, but many black men do spend time in jail, where anal sex is common. Generally speaking, having homosexual sex in prison isn't considered an indication that you are homo/bi sexual, as most inmates will engage exclusively in heterosexual sex outside of prison -- the anal sex is as much about dominance as it is about sex.
I did some research on this when I was a masters student, but i couldn't find any American journals that would touch it...
that reminds me. Thursday night I have a date with a hot 19 year-old girl. she's bringon along her 18 year-old bisexual sister (they want to have a threesome). Anyhow, what do you think would be the best linux distro to install for them? They need to type papers, im, web cam support is a must, etc.
a good idea, but I don't think slashdot has the extra cpu cycles to handle it. maybe if they switched to proper xhtml/css, it could be done client side in javascript.
The RIAA lawsuits were against heavy *uploaders*. The cost of downloading a song is already established -- $0.99 at iTunes, $1--$2 if you buy a CD and rip it yourself. Downloading isn't necesarily illegal (fair use allows you to copy from someone else, not make a copy for someone else).
Perforce offers a free 2-seat version (i think it used to be 1 seat), which is suitable for individuals. The tools are available on common platforms (x86 linux, freebsd, windows, mac). If you're using UnixWare you're SOL:-), but that's closed source software for you.
They also give free licenses for open source projects. There are some restrictions and some paperwork to fill out. I believe MySQL uses p4.

98 to 2000 was just as much a jump as 9 to X. Maybe not in eye candy (though XP has that), but it went from DOS to NT.

seriously. Considering that AOL is partnered with iTunes, it's almost as meaningful as a "father of the year" coffee mug.
Quite a few virtual hosting companies run on linux, and UML is popular for virtual servers. $5 a month could get you a local account on a linux box with a good net connection.
Standard contract law disagrees with you. 3.5 million hits for a sheriff dept website don't accidently happen. One of the parties (Richard) had more information than the other, and didn't disclose it. That is contract fraud, no different than if you swapped the barcode on your groceries to buy filet mignon at hamburg prices.
Prodos was the base for the MAC OS Filesystem and continued.
That's incorrect. ProDOS was the same as SOS, the Sophisticated Operating System, developed for the Apple///. They expected boot code in different sectors, so you could have a disk that booted on an Apple II and an Apple III.
The first Macintosh used MFS, followed by HFS and then HFS+.
iPod is the best selling portable mp3 player. They own 2/3 of the market. Maybe you don't care how stylish your mp3 player, car, clothes, or girlfriend is, but many people do.
I hate magic quotes.

You must not have been paying attention the last 3 months or so.
JLG was asking $150 million for Be. 2 years later, they sold themselves to Palm for $10 million in stock.
