Here in the US, the consumer is at fault in those cases. No protection exists. Shit out of luck!

It's the wonders of unregulated consumption credit card run economy. Here the credit card companies actually bribed some states into lowering the requirements on the companies and gave them free hands to take whatever interest they want. Here in the US, the credit card companies makes the rules and the consumer is fucked.

It's also funny to hear all the idiots who think they get free money from the credit card companies in form of rewards. It's the best scam these credit card companies have come up with so far.

Most US metropolitan areas have population density far exceeding many Japanese cities. And if you even bothered to look at a population density map of USA, you would see that 80% of the population lives in non-rural areas.

Stop drinking the koolaid that tells you USA is special. It's special all right, just not they way you think it is. Backwards is a word that comes to mind talking about today's USA.

For starters, this is illegal in my home country and the admission criteria for each school is rather public and as long as you satisfy these criterias, you can not be denied access to the school. Of course, none of our universities cost more than a couple of bucks per year.

What you do in your private life and on your private time is none of the schools business nor is it any business of any company you work for. Thankfully all this has been confirmed by our Supreme Court which is a professional court and not a political circus like the US supreme court is.

But then again, in USA fear goes hand in hand with religion and lack of education.
