Do a side-by-side comparison of what their site has to offer, and what yours either has to offer, will offer yet is under development, or won't offer because it's a Very Bad Idea.
Then you can explain to the client in question why "visually impressive" means absolutely nothing if the site is functionally inadequate.
Of the free web accounts I've used, I have noted a couple of things. One, they don't purge the userid or whatever data they collect; but two, they do purge the data in your home directory. Crosswinds did this to me a while back on a bogus allegation of spam.
If I had a beer for every time that either SCO said that Linux is for all intents theirs, IBM or others said no it's not, or Slashdot posted about this, I'd be a puddle of organic goo on the office floor.
Yes, rideshare. Carpool, vanpool, bus, train, SOMETHING where there is another driver.
I would highly recommend investigating your locality's municipal transit system. Eighteen miles is a bit of distance on the bus, but it might be worth it.
Barring that, ask them about carpool and/or vanpool prospects.
Follow the directions of the other two responders on this one. The FCC can generally track down the source of this and end it outright - between fining the perpetrator and confiscating their equipment, once you report, they'll get right on it.
"Ville is french for City, that you probably already know.. but Toc is french for false (more precisly false gold or false gemstone). There is also the word 'toqué' which means 'a bit crazy'. So you could say that Tocqueville sounds like 'City of the crazy false'."
It occurs to me that these are the sort of people who would name a restaurant Le Brasserie.
For instance, down here in Los Angeles, we have on VHF channels 2 (KCBS), 4 (KNBC), 5 (KTLA (WB)), 7 (KABC), 9 (KCAL (ind.)), 11 (KTTV (Fox)), and 13 (KCOP (UPN)), leaving 3, 6, 8, 10 and 12 as "between" channels that are unused in the basin - OTOH, there are stations in Palm Springs, San Diego, and Tijuana (I think XETV uses 6) that use those frequencies. But, VHF may be non-optimal anyway for Wi-Fi.
So you go to UHF. Again in LA, we have 18 (KSCI, which broadcasts a lot of asian and mid-east stuff), 22 (KWHY I think, en espanol), 28 (KCET (PBS)), 30 (KPAX? (PAX)), 34 (KMEX (en espanol), 36 (a local station for USC), 40 (KTBN (TBN)), 46 (KHSN (Home Shopping Netwk)), 50 (???? (Public or PBS, not sure), 52 (something en espanol), 56 (KDOC (Ind., probably public)), 58 (another foreign language channel), and 62 (non-english again). So there is nothing above channel 62.
And does anyone ever use Channel 83 outside of the realms of cable television?
Then you have the issue of broadcast frequencies. I recently learned that England's radio services go all over the AM (MW) spectrum, on any old frequency; here, stations are interspersed every 10 KHz. Likewise, FM stations are interspersed every.2 MHz, and only on the odd.1 MHz allocations. This makes more sense to me as it generally prevents intermodulation for extremely high power transmitters.
Point being, there are open frequencies that can be used for the purpose - so what's the problem?
Well said. I mean, last week's sudden $1 plummet says nothing, likewise - but the general trend, QED, is "down". Although I like the toilet bowl analogy, and would mod you +1 funny had I not commented already. =)
Well, OK, I'm not too proud to admit I wouldn't have bought it last year and sold during autumn, when it started going down from the $22 high in July, but I think many of us have a little more dignity than that, garg. =)
As my wife pointed out though, Adams never made an indication as to what color Ford's skin was. So it could have been particolored, for all we know - though a logical assumption would be that, yes, he could have been a black guy. So all things considered, as long as they get the hair right, he'd make a damn good Prefect.
As long as Google keeps it really simple, this could go over well. If they go into complexity mode like places such as AltaVista and Yahoo did, regretfully, they will drop off, and another simple search engine will be the next Google.
For Google's sake I pray that this doesn't happen, but this may just be the normal cycle of the 'net happening.

Have fun.
I love standards. There are just so many to choose from. And now China is going to give us more.

As far as ISPs, while the personal data is held, the user data is either backed up to tape and purged after a fashion (Speakeasy), summarily deleted if present (Earthlink - or more correctly, Mindspring did this for me for some reason when I moved to Speakeasy in 2000), or the user is given the opportunity to go in one last time and download (another one that slips my mind, I think it was a local one called Web World).
Which one? Original? Emerson Lake and Palmer? Art Of Noise? Something in 3rd save ska?

Hormel, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!
It's not so much the bean, it's the fact that they brew it stupefyingly strong. I mean, I like strong coffee, but that's just nuts.
They'll probably have to sue ISC and these guys as well, since there are patches out there to keep Sitefinder out.
Although, I kind of doubt it's a chicken bander.
I mean, Come on, Paypal, you of all people should know better! (FP?)
SCOX has once again dropped below $5. They are now at $4.81 as of this posting.
It occurs to me that these are the sort of people who would name a restaurant Le Brasserie.
What a wonderful summary of all of SCO's FUD.
Alright, that's it, I'm submitting you to the Department Of Redundancy Department!
Thank you very much for that, I appreciate it. I'd mod you up, but...well.... =)

A little offtopic, but has anyone noticed that the advert server for this site is having trouble servicing the slashdotting that Linuxworld is taking?
FP?
Doesn't kudzu do something to that effect?
