I had a "network card" that i could use to do the same things that I would have been able to do in a tunneled virtual network card. of course it did not have the useless low-level stuff, but only what was needed on an application level. But it had complete object serialization, compression and update "packet" objects sent trough the pipe (resulting in pretty good deltas), encryption (oh hell yeah!) and server session management.
I used it to pipe a networked file system trough it, so I could safely manage files on the server just like with a windows share. It worked pretty well. The file system was of course modularized, so that I could "mount" a cookie as a drive, and store data in there.:)

So Google's little spider went there, and crawled the entire list. Requested every single delete link address on the page. I think it was not even linked from anywhere. And if I remember correctly, it of course was a non backuped production database. The only one in fact. Must have been fun.:)
