it would be to stop needless overcommenting of code. Not trying to stray offtopic but if you're in an introductory CS class, I believe syntax should be taught first. OO/structured programming ideas should be brought up later after the student has a firm grasp on the language that he/she is going to be applying these constructs thru coding.

But back to the overcommenting issue, something like this:

/* This is the variable which is used for a
counter. It is incremented by one each time
the program goes through the loop. */
    int i=0;

...Is absolutely overkill. Commenting is good, but this kind of commenting is awful -- trivial elements of the program are magnified 100x. Just my $0.02.

I thought Robin Williams was good in this movie as the bad guy. In my opinion he brings a certain dynamic to the movie playing the Finch character which I don't think other actors could bring.

I'll agree and say that I'm not a Robin Williams fan, I don't think he's funny, and he overacts way, way too much. Look at Patch Adams, for example. That scene at the end, where he delivered one of the absolute worst soliloquies, was one of the most painful and unbearable experiences in my life. Anyone who's seen that movie knows what I'm talking about. Robin Williams owes me 8 bucks -- that movie absolutely sucked donkey dick.

I saw this movie about a month ago. I thought it was good, but not 4-stars good. Al Pacino is great, Robin Williams is great, Hillary Swank is...well, buck-toothed, but still good nonetheless. I'd see it again.

Next time when your connection starts to eat shit (which it never should, because AT&T is the best), do the following:

    1. Go to cable modem, and pull plug.
    2. Wait about 30 seconds, and plug it back in.
This usually works every time, but sometimes it doesn't. If it doesn't work, then you'll have to wait until one of the great technicians can come out to your residence and take a look at it. These artists aren't Britney Spears, NSync, Backstreet Boys, etc. (need I go on?). So it makes sense that this company can get away with charging such a small amount for this service. I would bet that if these were the aforementioned artists, and this service was here in the US, the rates would be much, much more expensive.

By the way, isn't this the same idea as what BMG and Napster had for their subscription service? I.e. you can only download artists on that label for a set rate per month? Sounds very familiar.

I took a class dealing with this sort of thing at college -- investigation of hard-to-believe claims in archaeology.

Unfortunately, Hancock is not considered to be an archaeologist by many. He's lumped into the same category as Erich Von Daniken, who makes money off of books about fantastical claims about human civilization, such as aliens building the pyramids, etc. etc.

Hancock pushes the lost-city-of-Atlantis theory, but he has recreated and rehashed his theory when proven wrong. First he believed that Atlantis could have been off the coast of Antarctica on some sort of ice shelf. The theory was proven to be false when it was concluded that nothing was found there.

Then he changes his theory and said that Atlantis existed somewhere off the coast of Japan because of a recent discovery of some stone figures some distance offshore underwater. After diving off the coast of Japan, researchers found that these were natural stone structures and not manmade. Hancock refused to accept that as true, so it seems that he went back to the idea that there was no way to NOT prove that Atlantis existed.

Basically, Hancock is a crackpot. He is not accepted by the archaeological community and is regarded as a charlatan. His Atlantis theory has changed each time a discovery like this happens, and he could just as easily say now that this new discovery is Atlantis. Don't believe him.

We have the unfortunate pleasure of using AT&T Broadband. These AT&T guys are out here everyday -- there's always some kind of problem (but that's a different thread altogether).
