"I imagine housing prices will fall tremendously if the stock market has and problems."
Just a hint; That's when real estate prices tend to climb the most. Money moves from the stock market, to real estate, and then back again.. It's all cyclical trends.
The geek cred apple has built up over the last couple of years kinda does matter.
Sure, it might not change anything on the linux front, but having Linus primarily using a Mac speaks to this increasing credibility to the Mac platform. Tides are changing, albeit slowly, and well.. I for one find it pretty damn cool.
4% I think.. same as the thrift savings plan the people on the Hill have.
And even then.. if you don't like it, you don't have to do it.. Or you can simply put the 4% into T-Bills, which is the same thing as not putting it anywhere to begin with..

But what does a company built around making inexpensive PCs know about HDTVs?
Without RTFA, I'd venture to say probably nothing. Their lcd tv's were/are made by a company called Planar.
If that was true they could bundle the regular ole Firefox distro. I think what they're really trying to do grub some ad revenue and co-branding out of the current Firefox buzz.

Call it what you want but when people say "communism," they don't mean some hippie commune outside of L.A. with thirty people. They mean extremists who imposed it on an entire nation. People like Stalin and the political parties the parent had in Eastern Europe. It doesn't work on that scale. It never has, and probably never will.
The reporter being especially smart, informed and ballsy pointed out the U.S. was funding Yuschenko's party through the National Endowment for Democracy and was in fact interfering in the election just as much as Moscow was.

Am I missing an aspect of desktop computing, that requires regular reboots, to care how long a reboot takes?
I'm willing to wager the average user does not leave their computer on 24/7. My mom doesn't, my girlfriend doesn't, and I'd say the majority of non technical people I know do not.
Didn't myth busters prove this false already? The thought, if I recall, was that it was an issue with static electricity, not neccessarily the cell phone.

What if a thousand people wanted to get off at the same exit? Seems to me you'd end up with a heck of a lot of backed up "traffic."
Furthermore, the Nullsoft-guys already brought us the open Gnutella protocol
Don't forget WASTE, also.
Funny you ask.. thats one of the only things John Titor neglected to tell us.
