    Another ignorant neocon. Clinton's regime change doctrine specifically excluded military intervention. And don't forget, if the old people in Palm Beach copunty could have figured out their ballots, there would have been no need for a recount. Whether or not people who can't figure out a balalot should be ALLOWED to vote is another issue!

    I, for one, don't need long discussions about anal sex and so forth on my morning drive to work. Neither do I care to listen about how liberals are ruining the country, even though conservatives have been in control for like 12 years now. As for the music - well, thank god for the Morning Buzz, 100.5 - but their signal is weak and I can't get it a lot. Oh yeah, and screw Clear Channel.

    The m710 cell phone has a mp3 player and bluetooth. I can shove a 1 gig SD card in there and that's enough music for a day or two easy. nye-nye mp3 player. Bluetooth headphones, say bye bye wires. I think PDA's are stupid and a small paper notebook works better (doesn't get broken, batteries don't die, workis in bright light and dim light.....)

    I don't even remember what happened to it, I think I traded it for something else. I only had it because I won it in a sales promo for selling NEC monitors. Great game console but almost no titles and they were too expensive. My thumbs felt like they'd been hit with a hammer.

    There are only so many "pleasant high paying jobs" available and only so many people are smart enough to do them. WHAT exactly are we going to do with the bottom half (intelligence-wise) of our population if we move all the "not-so-pleasant but still let you afford a home, insurance, and kids jobs?" Soylent brown? Euthanasia? Sterilization? Or just pay them to stay home?

    You know of course that wholefoods.com wants to scare you to death about generally safe substances in order to sell you their overpriced foods? And that glutamate occurs naturally in a truckload of foods? A very very few people have problems with MSG. The rest of us could eat it at levels twice what you find in any Chinese restaurant.

    Yeah, but only with bad hardware (one of the two processors was bad). Also with a bad memory chip. Otherwise - no. Of course I only support 12 servers and 200 XP workstations, that might not be a large enough sample.

    Right after one of my best friends up and died at 38. I was sitting at my desk, hating it, and my office manager was giving me shit (normally not any kind of big deal) and I stood up and said "fuck it" and walked out the door. Because you could be dead tomorrow! Life is too short to hate what you do 40 hours a week. You may have to make sacrifices and compromises (driving old cars for a year longer than you'd like, living in a bit smaller house) but if money doesn't define who you are you'd be amazed at how liberated you can feel. If you don't spend all day on SLashdot.

    Uh-oh - bannination ensues for actually knowing how to administer Windows correctly! ( I got 150 boxes in a solid MS shop. It all works fine. Custom apps, everything, all my trouble just disappeared after we got rid of 98 finally). Congrats to you for bothering to RTFM that comes with Windows.

    Also nobody seems to know how to run as a limited user account. example: The state of Florida has a website my company needs to use, and there's an ActiveX controll that needs to be installed. My users are all just plain users, no power users or anything. When my junior tech called the state, they said the solution was to make the users all administrators of their computers! Well, I fixed it without the aid of their "tech support" just fine. Also, so many companies write software that seems to want evryone to be admn it can become overwhelming. Why software companies can't afford to buy a copy of XP and try their software out as a limited user I don't understand. NT 4 was released I think 9 YEARS ago, and they still don't understand limited users?

    1) Cable companies make money 2) You don't like taxes 3) Let the government COMPETE (there's your free market) 4) If the local gov does a better job, your cable rates go down (that saves you money) 5) Your taxes also go down because the gov is making money on cable and don't need the tax revenues (or your taxes stay the same but your school board can afford to fund PE classes, or something) 6) This is all good
