> Now, as many geeks know, Dvorak made one-handed keyboard layouts, one
for
the left and one for the right. I've had thoughts about learning the left
one to keep my mouse hand free (one or two Slashdotters have claimed they
do this; I haven't because I'm a tech/sysadmin and use everyone else's
keyboards)
I'm still using the clunky yet compatible QWERTY, but one nice trick to
simultaneous mouse/keyboard operation is using the mouse with your left
hand (if you're right handed). There are several advantages:
With only one hand to type with, it's better to use the more dexterous
one.
If you have a desktop keyboard with a number pad, your hands will be
closer together and probably more comfortable.
Using the mouse isn't too complicated for the left hand. Your
right-hand dexterity would be wasted on this simple activity.
Your right hand is naturally closer to the right edge of the keyb,
where the arrows and other controls are. Great for web surfing.
I've had it this way for years. Of course for proper touch typing you'll
like using both hands, at least with qwerty.
This is preaching to the choir, and instantly earns the +5, Anti-M$
moderation. The word is Slashturbation. What good is this article on
these geek media? Someone get this on mainstream news, puhleeze.
If you want open source, why stick with Windows in the first place? On the
other hand, if you have good reasons to use Windows, why the longing for
OSS?
I'm not trolling, just curious. There are too many people around bitching
about OSS and Linux, who keep using Windoze because their one favourite
application wouldn't work with a free OS. Which is just hypocrisy.
It was a crude hack to prove they can do it.. not a part of the actual
distribution. Of course, if you can tell me how to get MPlayer running on
Windows, please let everyone know.
MPlayer plays WMA on Unix. You need
the Windoze DLLs though, but the MPlayer page can probably point you to
the sources if you don't have the pleasure of Windows already.
Well yes.. but since we all know $e^{i\pi}+1=0$ (and yes we all know
latex:) then pi and e are deeply interconnected in the fabric of the
universe. Without either of them, there wouldn't be people around,
discussing the importance of either.:-)
The problem with Canada is that they could have gotten French cuisine,
American technology and English culture. Instead, they ended up with
French technology, American culture and English cuisine.

countries have any interesting news event take place there?
I can only speak for Finland, but I guess it's worth a little
generalization that most of the international publicity these days is
negative. Therefore no publicity is a good thing. On another note, have
you ever heard of Nokia or Linux?
The Galeon page says that the
Mozilla GTK2 interface is far from ready. However, there should be ways to
enable AA fonts on older GTK, though it's quite unstable.
Since Phoenix (my default browser, as Mozilla is a hog) is built from the
Mozilla tree, its latest nightly also has the GTK look. Time to rpm -e
galeon.

Well, some of the documents did have the phrase "Final Judgment" :-/
So you can make the program portable even when it isn't portable? ;-)
*lol*
Better you should un-ionize the chemistry professionals *ba-doom ching*

This is extremely bad advice! When it comes to software, you should never GOTO. GOTO is baad, mmmkay?
What? You mean open source software has bugs?
But it's true.. it really hertz to edit these CPU stories.

"no we can finally start..." ;-)

Make that "windows and gates".
They say he eats windows for breakfast.

No, but your diffraction pattern can. ;-)

$\oint_C H\cdot dl = NI$
where the current I goes N times through the contour C, and H is the magnetic field strength. Be careful with the factorial I! though... ;-)
