And what about the well known problem where I want to select some text with the mouse, erase it and then paste something that I selected beforehand?
Ooops. The clipboard gets changed when I select the text-to-be-erased (so I can't paste after that). Very annoying. Got a solution for that (besides of changing my action order)?
Shaded windows are great, but how about working on important things instead of eye candy? They should work on changing the clipboard so it'll be like the windows' clipboard, and not the obnoxious thing unices have now (copy by selection).
Blogger could be perfect, but they don't support comments, so it's useful only for celebrities who don't want to get flamed, or just to people who don't like to communicate...
That's why I didn't create a blogger account. Livejournal is much better for that purpose (or even slashdot, because you can have friends here!)
So now I can't collect gmail usernames. I even tried the "YES" link that someone posted here but as expected it didn't work. Bummer.:)
That article mentioned that Hotmail bothers users lately. What exactly is wrong now? The only thing I've noticed is that their spam blocking actually works now...
I'm very disappointed that there's no picture of you in your web site! How can I know whether I should hit on you or not? Please provide pictures. Thanks a lot!
SCO scares me. They are so sure of themselves. They also said that.. they showed many people the offending source if they signed an NDA. Has anyone ever spoken to these people? I mean.. if SCO wastes so much time on this seemingly-absurd plan, maybe they have a reason to believe they might win.
That's interesting.. I think that most of the lesbos I met were this type - the type of girls that will make me say: "what? you're a lesbo??". I didn't get to see the other types.. hmm...
But what's the difference between lipstick and just a plain femme?
And I betcha you can meet many other girls in the dating services, unless you live in a very desolate place.
Well, that's sucky as well. Only in Israel you can always receive calls, no matter what your credit is (I hope it won't change). In 2 of the 4 providers, the service includes free caller ID as well.
It's only possible because you get charged for incoming calls - a thing that happens only in the USA. All around the rest of the world, if someone had a phone like that she would never dump it, because it could be served as another phone number (another identity!)
And.. it's hard to believe they'll continue to live. It all looks like a fraud to me. Their site design looks quick-n-dirty, kinda like the site of Earth Station 5.
I'll have to remove you from my friends list because I can't reply to your journal and you never reply to mine. But do notify me if you change your policy.;)
I'm a great fan of your books.. at least some of them, but I feel that it's a pity that the world created in them is short-lived and ends right after the book ends - unlike what happens in Asimov's books, for example (I really would love to see more of the world in Neverwhere, for example). So would you create some sequels for me?
(People might refer me to Sandman, but they don't have this book in the library. Others might refer me to Pratchet's Discworld series.. but I tried reading it and couldn't continue past 4 books).
Oh, and another thing - could you fix me up with Tori Amos?
Worms are the programs that can replicate without user intervention - like by using NetBios vulnerabilities or MS-Outlook automatic execution bugs. They are the ones who pose the biggest threat since they endanger even the computer-literate people.
But this thing is not a worm, but a virus. It can't survive without the naivete of the clueless user. That problem might be solved by providing a leaflet for buyers of new computers, which will contain information such as:
NEVER open executable attachments, even if they come from people you know.
Oh, and use WindowsUpdate and a firewall regularly.
And it's not the first virus that fakes MS advisories. There was at least another one that I received. It looked like a real advisory and even included a link to the IE advisory page ("for more information..")

This thing won't work with caller ID in cellular phones, would it? (Assuming there is caller ID in cellular phones in USA...)
They can play some bells when the wait time is over in order to draw your attention. Wouldn't it be smart?
It's because of the robotoxins, I tell you!
What a mess - 3 sites (not including images) just to get a blog. :)
Thanks for the information, though

I can't access that site from Israel for some reason.... even if I try accessing their IP directly.
Sounds like something that appears in the begining of a sci-fi thriller.
Anyway, yom huledet same'akh!

it's just a joke on your expense.
Hello Amy
I'm very disappointed that there's no picture of you in your web site! How can I know whether I should hit on you or not?
Please provide pictures. Thanks a lot!
That's great! I was afraid they are gonna stuff several books in one movie and it scared me a lot.
Btw: I am looking for a H2G2-loving girlfriend.
It's great that Transmeta made some new chips. Now I hope that someone uses them as well..........
Poor SlashChick. She must be sad by now..
Really? Bummer. :((((

Hi.
What's a lipstick lesbian?
Really?
Now that's evil.
