90% of >real games he should have said.:p
i'm a PC gamer, and i like PC games. i use linux and would be delighted to play PC games on linux.
vive la revolution
it's about time they did upgrade the mac mini, i did a quick build of an attractive small i86-64 PC today and ended up with a price of £500:
Athlon 64 3000+ = £90
Foxconn nF4 mATX = £50
2 x 512MB PC3200 = £70
nVidia 6600 128MB = £80
Silverstone LC-11 = £95
Dual-Layer DVD-R = £35
250GB SATA drive = £80
i know people say that you can't compare windows hardware with an Apple system, but:
2GHz 64bitCPU
1GB of PC3200 memory
DX9.0c video with 8 pixel pipes and 128MB
all nVidia core system components
endless storage space
looks pretty to boot
looks pretty bad for the mac mini.
i am a fan of the concept, i just feel that Apple have got to get a grip on improving technologies.
we are talking:
1.6GHz G5
512MB PC3200 as standard
ATI X700 128MB
160GB SATA drive
with these the mac-mini could compete.
they produce some amazing programs but their DVD encoding department actually manage to make many of their commercial offerings worse quality than the VHS versions.
i have used infostego in the past combined with a dekart drive; cumbersome but very obscure.
> put 'secret data' in a dekart drive called: pr0n.bmp
> put dekart drive into an image called pr0n.bmp with infostego
even if the steganalyst thinks their is something wonky about pr0n.bmp, all he can extract is another file called pr0n.bmp.
i'm neither, but the Repub bashing shows you to be just as ignorant.
On/T - show me a solution to the problem and will back it. kyoto certainly isn't it, and i am yet to be convinced there is an anthropogenic solution to global warming.
europe violated about three of its precious fundamental human rights by booting out buitiglonni (sp?), a man who stated that he would only ever act within the confines of EU law regardless of personal opinion.
how has the EU won anything, other than the craptatorship of the year award!
me too, but it arrived so late (due to it being repackaged with Enterprise v9.0) that i had already installed the.iso version. however, i will re-install 9.1 Pro and purchase the 9.2 upgrade.
it doesn't matter how many were queuing up to join, by the late 80's the IRA was thoroughly infiltrated via human and technical means to the point where it could achieve very little successfully. it was forced to the negotiating table.
likewise in the mid sixties during the reign of the super-grasses the IRA was bent over the and recieveing some rough therapy, sadly it was deemed unconstitutional to get convictions in such a manner and so the method was sadly abandonned.
I haven't done since i bought a CL PCI512 card about three years ago.
nice piece of hardware no doubt, but the people who write their drivers have less talent than a marrauding band of monkeys jumping up and down on a skip full of broken keyboards.
and then there was they way they suppressed A3d's superior 3D sound system........ after they bought out the IP!?!? and then sensaura as well i believe?
the biggest laugh i had at CL's expense is when they thought they had buried the competition by buying out A3d intellectual property, not realising that nVidia had hired a lot of A3d's brilliant engineers. the result was nVidia Soundstorm, oh how i laughed as i bought my nForce2 motherboard, hopefully that amusement will continue when i buy an nForce4 motherboard this X-mas.
screw CL, i hope they (as a corporate entity) rot in hell for all time.
Anyone read Clancy's "The Bear and the Dragon"?
Its no real stretch of imagination to picture a patriotic MS employee adding a couple of lines of code into windows.
It would explain the US justice department publicly going for Microsofts throat, but privately allowing the Carve Outs when informed of what lies windows non open-source code.
agreed, greenpeace's actions over the oil platform resulted in greater pollution and greater loss of life during deconstruction.
being a geology graduate i am aware of how great the fluctuations in global climate can be.
will it be in time for SUSE 9.4 which will be released in mid October?

good = mac mini with a low end G5 better = imac with dual core G5 best = dual dual-core G5's sounds good to me
whichever went first would score a real coup against the other.
null
is the new OS exempt from this?
i'd like an answer to this Q too............
they produce some amazing programs but their DVD encoding department actually manage to make many of their commercial offerings worse quality than the VHS versions.
Blue Planet was particularly bad.

a HD encoded movie takes up to 30GB's i don't care what net connection you have, it will still take longer to arrive than going to blockbusters.
terrible bit of brand awareness on the FBI's part!
very good idea, linux needs to come reagy with world class appz.
O.O.o. v2.0 will be ace
Gimp is rapidly becoming ace
why not a professional CAD program too?

i do my best, i use support@msn.com for every log-on that permits me to sign up with it.

given that Gran Tursimo is being more or less directly ported over to the PSP from the PS2 i don't think it is an unfounded comparison.
i hate consoles, but i will be buying a PSP.

agreed, nuclear energy would solve most of the energy problems, and the pollution problems.
