heh...it's a damn game. What does a game have to do with messages for the real world? If you get the fake game then it'll suck but considering you paid nothing for it I can't see any reason to bitch about it. In all probability the real game will suck too.

Well actually the idea that all government is bad goes back to the founding fathers. The phrase "That government is best which governs least." was a common idea at the time. Also "Government is a necessary evil" was used as well. One of the funny things about the Clinton era is that he worked with a Republican congress to shrink government spending. I'm kind of amazed that he was more conservative than either of the 2 Presidents named Bush, economically that is. Things were going pretty good in the later Reagan years after getting over the nuttiness of the Carter administration. I think maybe after another few years of the Tax and Spend bunch running the show now we will see how the present administration stacks up. It is early to tell and I am really curious to see who the Dems run in 2016. Normally the Veep would be a top choice but Biden is a joke. Maybe Hillary although I'm thinking she has some problems somewhere because she has totally dropped out of the limelight.

Oh there are a few people that try to make a difference but their party leadership shuts them down pretty quickly. Most of those get disillusioned and don't even bother to try for re-election.

Once you put a keyboard on it there is no point to the touchscreen. I can see no reason for both. I use the touchscreen on my 5" samsung tablet because that is all I have to use. If I had a keyboard I'd never touch the damn screen. Since the purpose is to have something to fit my pocket I make the sacrifice. With my laptop I use the keyboard and have no need or desire to touch the screen. If I have to pay an extra 50 or so bucks for a touchscreen I will look elsewhere. It makes no sense to have both. People that like touchscreens have tablets and for keyboards there are laptops. I guess the handful that want both can buy this thing.

This area is pretty cosmopolitan for a Southern town. The chief deputy for a couple of decades was black and so are many of the deputies. They concentrate mostly on real crime and have one of the highest success rates in the state for solving crimes. The Sheriff is getting pretty old and will probably retire soon but hopefully whoever ends up replacing him will continue the job in the same way. I don't doubt that there are problems since anything that involves people will have problems but not many of our neighboring counties have been so fortunate.

I don't know about where you live but around here it is extremely rare, like almost unheard of, for anyone to get stopped for doing less than 10mph over the limit. I've blown through speed traps at 15 or so over many times. The only places they are really strict on is construction sites and school zones. The local sheriff is very popular and remains so by providing excellent protection while basically ignoring traffic violators unless they just get stupid. His deputies are busy patrolling businesses and residential areas to prevent burglaries and he's been doing that for over 40 years. No one bothers to even run against him.
