I tell you, the last thing I want to think about at a movie theater or listening to music in my car is fucking politics. I use these things as escapes from the everyday annoyances and these fucking shit bags drag their bullshit into it. Fuck them.

True, it lasted a good 5 or 6 minutes. That's a rare thing though. Most people observe the off duty deputies the theater hires and the riff raff kind of keep a low profile.

Those are federal subsidies. It appears that we are only funding Fossil fuels at less than half of renewables.

Firefox is still usable. I don't care for a lot of the changes but I still find myself having to shift back from Chrome occasionally. I looked at Edge on a Win10 setup and I figure I'd have to install Chrome and Firefox if I had Win10.

It's all relative. If you don't have anything critical on your computer then why lock it down? I have a cdrom based os I use for banking. I boot from it, do my business and shutdown and reboot the computer to my playtime system. I'm not going to build a fucking fortress unless I have a reason to.

I mostly find Leslie Jones funny when she isn't trying to be political. This is Hollyweird's main problem. They want to play politics more than they want to make good movies. It's more important to push a left wing agenda when at least half your audience isn't interested in hearing your bullshit. Why not just go back to being actors?

I went to a movie recently where a guy got a call on his cell which rang some hip-hop shit tune loudly (just fyi the guy was white) and then he started yacking. Some neighbors started snarling at him and he flipped them off. Then a guy from the theater company asked him to go outside to take a call and he told him loudly to fuck off. The theater guy walked out and about a minute later two deputy sheriffs came in and asked him to leave with them. Strangely he didn't give them any problem. I guess he wasn't a total idiot. Theaters have too much money invested in movies to let shit stains like that ruin the experience.

  14. While I mostly agree with your analysis of the shortcomings of the US government I find the last statement foolishly shortsighted. Do you somehow think that China as the world power is something to look forward to? Just a little bit of research should warn you that while things may be bad now they've got excellent chances to be much worse. And I think China is far from the worst of candidates out there. Be careful what you wish for, it might come to pass.

  15. Oh the horror!

  16. I'm not sure I get you. Murder, rape and steal are wrong. Killing is not murder in that murder is killing someone for personal reasons, killing is done generally to protect. We don't kill people just because we want something they have or because we don't like them. In some cases we kill people in error but the difference is the intent as with a bomber that targeted a bunker and perhaps destroyed a house with civilians in it. This is accepted generally by all civilized governments as not murder. I understand for the victims it matters little but you have to have some standards or it just become savagery. Rape is rape, the forcible act on another person who is unwilling. I don't see how marital right enters into that. Stealing is taking something that's not yours. These are mostly pretty obvious.

I'm against discrimination in my organization. Not for some thing about right and wrong but simply because I feel the best should rise to the top. Gender be damned. It doesn't make sense to decide anything on the gender or sexual preference or color or religion or much of anything else about the person who does the work except for the quality of their work. Most people where I work feel this way too. We have very few women (it's aircraft repair and modification) but those we have are mostly excellent at their jobs and respected by their male coworkers. They constantly try to hire more women but I've seen women show up for an interview, take one look at the work environment, and just walk out. Somehow though, it's alway spun that it's our fault women don't work here.
