You consider a 30 year maximum sentance adequate? I'd say its nowhere near adequate. If that was the case in the US we would have a shitload of truly notorious and nasty criminals out on the street by now or in the future. Many serial killers would survive the 30 years in prison and get out still in adequate shape to kill again. Or what about the that moron who killed the two cops and the dispatcher mentioned in the previous slashdot post. He is only 17 and thus he could get out when only 47. Thats insane.

Those photos actually show a ceramic multi-chip module containing 4 power5s and 4 cache chips. Up to 8 of em can go into a single chassis. Truly geek porn. Also I've read that the CELL would be about the same size as the Emotion Engine at 25nm. So SONY has already shown that they aren't afraid of using a big chip.

Shit python would be better suited for a scripting engine, but the graphics engine is certianly not going to be written in it. According to the Jake2 website the Java version of the Quake2 engine runs about 75% of the C version. To me this is unnaceptable as it means I have to spend 25% more on hardware to get the same performance. Quite wasteful
