Surely there are enough conflict management books out there?
Basicly the things I remembered from them 1 Don't make the problem personal. Don't say you're an asshole, but something like "that can be done better". If the problem is personal, be direct about it. 2 There are 5 ways to go about a conflict a) Fight: beware don't fight with someone stronger then you and think of the aftermath b) Run: beware that you don't become a pushover, but for some occasions it's good not to escalate and come back later c) Compromise: good for the moment but you both loose d) Win-win: this is the one you normally should go for e) Both loose: don't go for this one
For example see http://ianrpubs.unl.edu/family/heg181.htm
As said before etherape has the functionality the poster requested. Sniffer pro is the mandatory tool we have to use here and I'm very impressed with it's easy to use and feature richness. The graph which he is talking about is an indispensible tool to filter out large amounts of uninteresting traffic. When you are sniffing you don't always know where to look and this tool can be very helpfull in this area.
I hated dreamweaver when I first looked at it version 3 or 4 but recently I looked again at mx2004 and I was immediatley hooked. I agree that older versions introduced much bloat but I don't think that still holds.
The way it does CSS is very convenient. I like it's cross-browser checking. And what I really like is that one page 1 can -edit html -edit design -edit tag where all the options are easily available -check documentation -more Without it being cluttered!
I stopped using Homesite and occasionally I use vim when ssh'ing to the machine but I really think it's one of the best products out there to do this job.
Vib Ribbon was one of the hardest games I have played. Vib constantly walks then it can reach an obstacle loop, pit, barb wire, block. For each obstacle you have to press the associated button, so the entire game is controlled with only 4 buttons no directional stuff...
It becomes hard when you get an obstacle that is a combination , for example a block and a pit (looks like the letter M) then you have to press both buttons at the same time. So then it becomes a game of quick thinking... But one of the most innovative games i have seen in years...
Because it's an open and shut case?
A website is always registered by name or ip so it's very easy to identify the criminal who is illegally distributing files.
Ofcourse the company are going to do something about it.
Yes but it has implications, if they take action against spam, they must take action against kiddie porn, warez etc. That's still fine, however I can imagine that there are gray area's where ISP's going to screw up.

OSS is a great way for everybody to find bugs, however it is still possible that not all bugs are found (in time).
So open or closed isn't the issue, it's just proper programming methodology and get your priorities straight, like security/privacy in this case.
I think it is brilliant, as it is aimed at new users and not geeks/coders.
I can imagine if I was to going to convince an IE user, then that the site is very accesible, and provides the information in an understanding way.
If you use IE6 then it only accepts cookies when you have a privacy statement.(default setting) It means that when you want to read/set a cookie you have to provide the browser with a privacystatement. This is actually 3 documents consisting of 2 xml files and a html file explaining what the cookie is trying to do.
Bloody annoying if you are coding a webapplication, I assume it broke a lot of old stuff:)
Everybody knows it's illegal to distrube copyrighted material? If it's p2p or ftp or http or...
Just wouldn't think that it would be usefull for an organisation as the RIAA to send everybody C&D letters, costs a lot of money. Which they have but not that much..

Wasn't it also that it was a shell bug in win2k/xp that actually only was an OS bug, that MS didn't fixed so they eventually did it?
Why are you laughing you don't get email?
Smartest thing they every did.

I hope they find the right balance between just providing the internet and locking it down so it can't harm the average consumer.
Why wouldn't this work in the first place, a couple of solar cells and you're good to go?
I'm probably missing something.
Am I the only one missing yahoo internet live mag?
Anyone have a good alternative, no wired is different..

In the netherlands it is perfectly legal to download copyrighted music/images/books/movies but not applications/databases.
But morally it's wrong ofcourse. And downloading that material is (the way I see it) theft.
I don't see any harm for the RIAA/MPAA telling people that what they are doing is wrong. But as we all know, they do a whole lot more...

No, I don't but the study has been done by TNO which has a very good reputation for being objective and thorough.
Hmm, I like to code and I like to play games and I like to tinker with hardware.
However If I just want to play a game, I don't want to build the hardware first and then program the game.
I think the treshold is just a bit too high..
Why did you provide a link, didn't you got the popup window?

For the love of god why patent this??
What is there to gain, they even admit there is prior art??
I'm glad we don't have this crap in europe.
Well then just leave out the entire text and just leave the links.
Benefits
-No more dupes
-Everyone reads the artical
-No more trolls
Bad things
-Slashdot becomes boring
