You are both ignorant and arrogant and can stick your opinion of text messaging up your ass if you can find room next to the ivory tower.
Come on. It was an opinion. Of course there is room next to the tower. Build as high as you want. I have always found cellphones a dangerous nuisance anyway because of safety concerns. I have seen too many wrecks and accidents caused because some dumbass was talking on their cellphone while driving. A lot of these were kids that were hurt, because my ex-wife is a pediatric nurse I got to see them first hand. I am talking about cellphones here...talking not messaging...and now I look at people driving down the road typing messages and cussing because the predictive text doesn't bring up what they want. At least before people were actually looking at the road. *shrugs*
Whatever...hoorah for technology. I shouldn't let concerns like this get in the way of progress.
Actually, I am well versed in talking to people who go out of their way to be assholes. A broken nose is easy to fix and once that happens then I have 100% reason to open a nice can of whoop-ass. I stopped more bullies in school by trying to talk first or be funny than I can count...but once it is on...it is on. And you can, with a much clearer conscience, lay into someone. It's a good feeling to know you tried every avenue before resorting to, what should be, the last resort.
Exactly. I think "The Boondocks" correctly profiled SMS technology as it stands right now. People just need to stop using it. It takes longer to type in a message than it does to just dial your phone and tell the person what you wanted to say. I hear folks say: "It's convenient....especially when it isn't something really important." I say, if it's not important then maybe you don't need to say it at all. But, I digress...it's trendy...it's cool...so it common sense will not rule.
I just got an email from an Asperger group I am a part of here in Philly (my son has Asperger syndrome, which is a slight form of autism) in which they blame ipods and cell phone batteries for the the current rise in these problems.

Hahaha! Thanks for the spewed coffee all over my screen.
Ah, but it's so fun to spend large amounts of money trying to predict the future!
If you are going to download the rpms and try to do an upgrade/install...dont.
They are broken. Bad.
They play a mean game of solitaire.
