The five-balde fusion is actually really good. The 4-blade Quattro had the issue have lots of plastic behind the blades so the blades would always be clogged. The Fuision has a better design and the blades are never clogged. 5 ftw.
I use JGoodies in my Java program as well, and when I run under OS X, I disable it....not hard to do, and something I bet they would do themselves if you bought them a mac.
Often it is hard to test every platform, and the OS X Java stuff is a whole new layer.
also, the only people are who buy Krol Blades are sword build rogues...and as we know most sword build rogues who can afford to buy a Krol Blade at the AH have bought accounts anyways. A "true" rogue is going to have soulbound items that are better, and most likely daggers, to actually dish out some realy damage.
heh,./pic.jpg wouldn't run, gimp pic.jpg....oh, open pic.jpg with the gimp! rather than relying on some code to guess what it is. That would be how unix would do it.
So many of us play World of Warcraft these days, needless to say, where your primary communication is through the chat window. In my guild we have members ranging from 16-40+. The only young ones who are able to stay in the guild succesfully are those who can write using "normal" english.
If they don't, we mock them, example:
young'en: can neone help me?
olde 'en: I don't know, "Neone" does not seem to be on right now.
young'en: what?
olde 'en: There is no player named "Neone" in our guild.
young'en: no, i mean i want ANYONE to help me!
olde 'en: oh! you should have said so in the first place.
(I make an alt named "Neone" )
Neone: I can help you! But I am only a level 1 druid...
And so we teach and encourage proper written communication.
well, the touch screen is not a palm in its spare time. But watching a movie on the plane...the PSP hits the pricepoint that mini-dvd players are at. If you view it as just a plane-movie player you have sold a lot already.
Maybe you can help me then.
All I really want to do is have text files (like any text file, regardless of extension, since I always use my own random extensions ) to open up in Calc, not Writer, without having to first select "txt/csv" from the drop down menu.
Why doesn't it realize that I want to open something as a spreadsheet from the speadsheet program!
so, yes, using Images is possible, and I have done so. As is most of the rest of what you want to do. The current CVS does not reflect some recent changes... I will try to get those in soon. It is late right now, so I am keeping this brief, but please contact me:
It just so happens that I have done a lot of work in this area. Specifically in the business of making a good Open Source Java Graph library. For me there were several concerns.
Open Source, Free
Really Cool Looking Display
Easy to add to
Easy to use API
Suited to my work ( Biology )
At the time we were using yFiles, but it has several problems. Mainly, it is pay-for-it software, and hard to extend (i.e. no Interfaces, Node and Edge are final, not Open Source, so no custom code was possible.) However, yFiles has better layout than anyone else in this field.
After evaluating many packages (which are listed here) which include the ones you have listed. We decided that our needs were not met and built our own. (First one on the preceding link) The main thing that I needed was a flexable UI, for showing Multi-Dimensional Data, and support for subgraphs, in a way that makes lots of sense in how I work, but I am not sure if it is suitable elsewhere yet, or not.
The integrated software that uses my Graph Library is called Cytoscape and while still a work in progress is getting way better every release. In terms of the Graphing support, I think we are top notch, but we need to spend more time on algorithms and layouts;) In addition we have an active development team that is well funded from MSKCC, UCSD, ISB, Agilent, and support from Unilever.
I will be checking this thread throughout the weekend, so please reply if I can be of more help. And thanks for getting this onto Slashdot! I hope that more people will becocem involved in graphing, and especially in making file formats standard;)
I use the 7.0 Beta, it is really nice. Everyone in my lab uses it to.
It is functionally equivalent to the windows version, but I really wish it would display ps, eps, and svg.
All in all it is a great product, and I would highly recommend registering for the beta.
At the time I did think he would become such an "uber" Star Wars fan. He was several years older than I, but we were on the Track and Field team together. Even then I knew that he was destined for waiting greatness. He was the only person on the team to be named as our best sunbather, 4 years in a row.
So, I congratulate Jeff on this remarkable achievment, and wish him luck in seeing what will surely be a fabulous film!
so the funny thing about all of the recent stories about gaming/MMORPGs, is that there are probably a huge number of regular readers who are playing World of Warcraft every spare minute. However, I have been playing non-stop, with my GF, we each have a character that we play together, and one that we play seperately.
Between us, we have probably logged about 7 days pt. With about a 60/40 split, tilted in my direction. Is it good for my relationship? yes. She enjoys playing, it gives us stuff to talk about, and for whatever reason gets her "excited", go WoW!
As a scientist, I think that this is a really cool. I have been wondering how long it would take Google to come out witih something like this. The current searching provided by the NCBI via PubMed is woefully inadequate. Scholar not only finds the relevant papers, it also tells you how many citations each has, which is very important when deciding the impact of a paper.
However, Scholar does highlight the problem with much of the Scientific literature. If you do a search, and find a paper of interest, you will be directed to that journals website, where you will need to pay for access. Big universities pay several million dollars annually for the right to have onlince subscriptions. Which is really dumb, since the content comes from those Universites in the first place! So, check out Public Library of Science if you want a free alternitave
What is the next thing Google should do here? Index the data, so if I want to find the picture of a gel that supports some theory, I can. That would be really nifty.

I have yet to see any major engineering project work perfectly out the door first time. most bridges work well, amazing what testing can do :)
yay!!! KEXP.org. I am currently wokring on a Dashboard Widget for their playlists....if you want to help let me know.
yes it seemed to. not sure what the change is....

the OP meant KPH, I would think, being in the UK... so 100 kph is like 60 mph.

what do brits have against a Main Tank? I mean, it's a really good strategey...maybe he doesn't use his taunt enough to keep the casters safe.

go see "Life as a House". He is actually quite good in that.
yeah, cause this will save power on the motor that spins your DVD ;)

yes, of course I am kidding.
So, I went to high school with this guy.

yeah, and generally speaking "Joe Sixpack" Asks Slashdot on how to configure his Linux Box...where did that Troll mod go now?
Given his low number, I would bet he is.

This is only about the Governor race, since Kerry already won WA. Yeah Canada-Land! Boo Jesus-Land!
