4 I have no comment on, but as for 1,2, and 3 I carry my ebooks with me to the crapper and couch all the time on my Zaurus... My Zaurus also fits in my pocket...
As for 5, maybe not, but then again, I just have to open it without getting up from my sitting/lying position and also don't have to reshelf them...
and the sailors in air dep't on carriers are airmen but also sailors, and the engineers are firemen but also sailors... then comes everyone's favorite, the seamen...
Being on the NIPRnet right now, I can assure you that wonkette is not blocked, at least on this node, I have no idea about the iraq/saudi arabia areas... This is going through Japan..., of course email sites are still blocked, and they recently blocked myspace.com... (people still visit through various free proxies...and pay proxies work for secure email sites...)

Train a general and some drill sargeants / recruit division commanders and throw a bunch of dumb recruits at them... then put them in different games against traditional "AI"... and make a TV series highlighting differnt parts of the training and campaigns...
While the GPL is a better choice than BSD if your purpose in open sourcing it is publicity; I don't think the GPL is quite restrictive enough. If someone doesn't like the way you manage the project, they can just fork it and remove all references to your company except a small blurb on a well-hidden about page...
That of course depends on how many ass-holes decide to use your software that don't like your company...
That applies far more to people that try to make the characters realistic rather than use their own style... such as The Incredibles... Done in 3d, and the characters still don't look out of place...
Personally, I think everyone using a non-IE browser should use MSN search at least several times a day, if just to scare whoever next checks on the usage stats at just how many people don't use IE...
