Going back to the moon certainly won't help all portions of the economy. Think of that all that green cheese Bush wants to bring ack will do to Wisconsin!

  2. Re:First Amendment? I don't think so on U.S. Indicts Saudi Student For Website Contents · · Score: 1

This thread is upsetting! As of 12:18 AM on Jan 11 E.S.T. there are 45 comments. On a topic this controversial, there should be hundreds, if not thousands. The Patriot act, and the whole 1984 atmosphere we are living under have made us afraid to speak our minds. Freedom of speech was good while it lasted, but it's gone.

  3. Re:electronic voting sucks on Touch Screen Voting Trouble in Florida · · Score: 1

I am tempted to say Slashdot needs a Florida tag like Fark has, but this is not just in Florida. Touch screen without a paper trail are the way to rig elections. They will assure that those in power never lose power and democracy is as fixed as rasslin'. Electronic voting without a paper trail has got to go!

People are not stealing when they listen to the radio, and file trading is the new radio. Don't buy CDs until the industry cleans up their act.

  14. Re:We prefer... on The Robots are Coming · · Score: 1

Yes, sci-fi geeks are already demanding human rights for robots. I wonder if the RIAA will respect their rights once they are making all popular music?

  15. Re:Explain to Kids on Kids Game Takes Aim At Music Pirates · · Score: 4, Insightful

Comparing unauthorized copying to rape, murder, and robbery on the high seas is terribly sensational. This "game" is a piece of RIAA/MPAA propaganda whether they will admit to it or not. Don't buy CDs.

  16. Re:'market realities' on MPAA, RIAA Seek Permanent Antitrust Exemption · · Score: 1

Ordinary people must obey the law, or be punished. Big corporations can bribe away laws they don't like. That is wrong, and there is something we all can do about it. Boycott them! And vote the bums taking their bribes out of office.

  17. Re:End of an era...? on RIAA Threatens 15-Year-Old · · Score: 1

  18. Re:So why should I use SkyOS, and not GNU/Linux? on New SkyOS 5.0 Screenshots Released · · Score: 1

SkyOS sounds a lot like BeOs. An OS created from scratch that is not dragging around any legacy code. Great idea if there is software for it, but getting programmers to write for a new platform is a chore! Still BeOs would probably still be around if it weren't for the dirty pool Microsoft played in the marketplace.
