    I also miss the look on the faces of sales people when as a kid in the 80's I'd buy a game for my 2600 using an assortment of nickels, pennies, and dimes. The allowance of months for a Combat cartridge!

    I too spent pocket change on cartridges, but not until my high school days. Overstock and reject games could be found at the Dollar Store for 99 cents, $1.04 after tax. I easily doubled the size of my collection for less than it would take to buy one of today's games off of the bargain table.

    Mod parent up. It's probably one of the most telling replies so far. That being said, I'd bet that pure hits for a phrase mean absolutely nothing. "Life is short, play hard" is a corporate motto. This should be static just by its very nature. Unless you check the FULL CONTENT of each and every page, you won't be able to tell how much a site has really changed.

    Not every IT Dept. is perfect- Lord knows ours isn't, and at least 3 virii have made it through in the past 12 months, causing a complete shutdown of the email system here for a total of 7 working days. Since there is tangible damage, and tons of lost time and money are spent fixing it, it no longer is a "scare." It's the real thing.

    From the number of nasty replies, I have to wonder how many ppl are at work as they reply to this, while I sit home on my PC with the NHL playoffs on the TV in the background. Simple fact is, everyone needs a little break now and then. Look how many people spend hours a day here on slashdot. Gaming or looking at slashdot- either way you're still not doing "work", so get off of your high horses already.

    About a week ago, I was greeted with a DL popup when accessing Yahoo!'s fantasy sports pages. "You are downloaing the file pop from media.fastclick.net" Needless to say, I hit "Cancel", and have been doing so for the past week when checking my hockey roster. Our league will definitely be moving elsewhere next year. :-P
