"What holds back RDRAM in terms of price is that there isn't enough being sold."
Exactly. Because the price is too HIGH for the average consumer. If there was a clear benefit to using RDRAM over DDR that *JUSTIFIIED* the price difference then consumers would choose to buy RDRAM. We have a free enterprise system. People will buy a product only when there is a net benefit to them. I suggest you read up on some elementary economics if you would like to understand a little bit more about why people don't buy overpriced products.
I am suing you for the slanderous use of my name when exploding in emotion while experiencing blue screens of death, spam from Alan Rasky, and those lovely pop-up ads:) Love,
I atttend Dalhousie University here in Halifax, Canada. Our NOC implemented a spam filtering tool ( I think SpamAssasin ) and it marks emails that it believes to be spam, by adding an "X-Is-Spam" SMTP header to the email. Anyone who wants to use this can then just add a corresponding rule in procmail.

"India is no different, and I strongly advise them to buy an already working package for a fair price rather than tinkering with projects that are 20% complete and may never be more than halfway finished."
What is this elvish spell that decieves my eyes? I believe the terms "working package for fair prices" and Microsoft software are pretty much mutually exclusive:)
Not as long as you think.. a quick walk thru the links and I came across 2 shared mp3s:) I won't post the link here as that would just be plain provocation on my part though.
Uhm. Arsenic is one of the basic elements. The only way you can 'morph' it into something else, is by changing the atom structure.. something that most? all? biological organisms could never do.
Save yourself the time of replying to this AC's comments. Thankfully we have evolution, which among other things, is designed to weed out AC's such as above.
It is a technology. Even I consider myself pretty partial to the Microsoft platforms at times, but this comment is just going too far. VBScript and JScript are languages, Active Server Pages is not. Thank god we have C# and real Visual Basic compiled code now instead.
IIS runs as IUSER_ NOT as the System account, and it has done this for years. The default install of SQL Server 2000 runs as a normal Domain user account NOT LocalSystem.
They come out with the coolest technologies and they just work great!

They are a company afterall. You can't expect them to support all their products for an indefinite amount of time. They would go bankrupt!

Hopefully we see even more stuff like this coming out of the spam conference
Perhaps try seeing if you can get a non-profit organization to go along with you. They provide some of the hardware, and you 'learn on the fly'?

Strangley enough, it is UUNet that is their provider: netcraft:www.riaa.com. I wonder how much longer they will continue hosting that account..
