My site has ads. I don't care if people use adBlock on it. I only get revenue from clicks, not from impressions, and people who block ads are also quite likely to be people who never click ads.
I do care about bandwidth hogs, though (stop scanning my site, inktomi slurp! it doesn't update that often! sheesh!)
I don't have a problem with Fox News. I have a problem with a few specific talking heads (including one or two from CNN) - if this patent would result in technology that could overlay a Charlie Brown's Teacher audio track on top of their segments in real-time, that would be great.
The reason it hasn't materialized yet is that Chris Carter and FOX were locked in an epic battle of lawsuits over the money that the first movie made, among other things.
With the lawsuit resolved, the property can now be developed in new ways.
Binary searches are inefficient at revealing sources, because you need at least six or seven opportunities... the best bet would be a Canary operation.
Wyse supplied us some keyboards with that format for our 5150 and S50 units... we sent them back. Our users hated them.
One or two made it out "into the wild", though, and those particular users never complained. So I guess people can get used to it. But man... programming on that would be a pain in the butt. Especially with the short shift key on the other side.
There should at least be demo units, so you can get a feel for the keyboard and track pad; those features often vary by manufacturer, and they are vital to a good user experience.
I hate-hate-hate the Toshiba inverted upside down "L" enter key. It's impossible to work with. So, I stay away from *all* Toshiba laptops online, because I don't have the tactile in-person guarantee that I will find their keyboard acceptable.

That's not a fair comparison. World of Warcraft trains people in important social skills, like teabagging and harshing on newbies.

"wawa waa wa wa"
Take That, Nancy Grace!
*especially* since Star Trek has actually HAD a character named Moriarty.
:)
Incidentally, I've always thought that a spinoff based on the adventures of HoloMoriarty would be fun
Galactic Dyson Sphere!
Vista, ME, Windows 3.0 ... sometimes people compare Windows ME to Windows 3.11 (WFW), but having used 3.11WFW myself, I tend to disagree with them.
First! heheh
Someone on LJ linked me to this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLpmGB3CPVk
(The one you linked was a really nice video, btw, I enjoyed it)
No... THIS sums it up.
;-))
(pwned!
The rest of the dominoes should fall like a house of cards. Checkmate.
Kif, fetch my uniform.
Well, there's always nuclear power. One nuclear plant is probably cleaner than the equivalent in coal-fired plants.
And I'll say it again: That makes me a Plumber 2.0 guy working for a Plumber 1.0 company :)
That makes me a Plumber 2.0 working at ... a plumbing wholesale company. Go figure.
Some tumors contain teeth, hair, and other wacky fun items.
I'd rather not taste it, thank you very much.
Page-flipping animations are a complete waste of time. Gimmicky interfaces are rarely good interfaces.

Ah, yes, the lesser-known Asbestos slogan.
...
Asbestos: Because it wasn't too cancer-causing
Ah, the midochlorians are strong in this one.
I think Jack Bauer might disagree with you.
Well, PS3 is doing brisk business in Japan as well, from what I hear.
Personally, I'm content to compare the PS3 to the Sega Saturn, and leave it at that. :)
I'm convinced that it's related to the practice of taxidermy ... except for your folks.
"Farts".
Or, I suppose, "FartWare".
