    And on the flip side, the observed correlation could simply be a result of the improved socioeconomic climate of the past few decades, spurred on by the advent of video games, the improvement of people's income, and other stress-relievers.

    As in, a single pixel (individual photons ... crikey, that would be way less than a pixel :)), which could evolve to be a multipixel hologramatic display? :)

    I just don't see how this technology helps. At some point, the player models will have to be integrated with what's actually going on in the game, despite having been operating on lag time/neural net behaviours. I can't imagine that being much less jumpy than it is now. This technology could even aggravate the problem, by choosing the wrong path and being even more out of whack than it would be if it had done nothing while waiting for updated movement information.

    Well, then you run into issues with colour blindness. So there would have to be precautions for that, as well.

    Calling him a sociopath is, IMO, an insult to sociopaths. From what I've read, they tend to mimic "normal" people in order to lead a quiet, unassuming life. Thompson is anything but; in fact, he might have some form of dementia. :)

    As a Canadian, I like decisions like this. But does that mean I share my music collection? No!

    I'm too paranoid about going over my bandwidth limits. :)

    Also, I've bought more CDs in the last year than I have in the preceding decade. By which I mean, I bought a CD this year! (Teddy Bears - Soft Machine)

    I've held a google adsense cheque in my hands. So it's not impossible. Now get out there and Live The Dream! ;-)

    (And, seriously, adblock *your own* google ads on *your own* site, it just makes sense. I tend to block all of them, everywhere, even my own site, though. :))
