    iBook, expensive?

    Build a dell with the same amount of functionnalities (not the first entry-level $300 machine), add the software that's bundled with the iBook (I'll exempt you of finding a GarageBand alternative) and then compare the prices.

    iTunes does not use WebKit to display the music store, google for iTunes and webkit and you'll get word from a webkit developper about that.

    uses the .net Framework, most widgets are written in Perl/Ruby .net. Works great for me, still needs some polish though.
