I tried using the local Craigslist to look for apartment rentals. However the results were probably 1 real post for every 5 or 6 fake posts. Most were pointing you to another website that requires a membership fee, pointing you towards a housing broker, or flat out scam to get personal information.
I built myself a new computer about 1 month ago. Completely new install of XP, and I've only been installing programs as needed/wanted. In the last week I've had two bluescreens happen. What did I do a week ago? I installed Google Earth. And in both cases of blue screen, the app that was listed as causing the fault in the debug was the Google Updater.
So hopefully removing Google Earth fixes this. The only other "google app" I run is Picasa, which I don't think uses the Google Updater.
Orb does this. You run the Orb server on your PC, and then you pull up a flash app on the Wii Web Browser that allows you to stream both video and audio to the Wii.
I'd rather work in a "work house" 40-50 hours a week, than work some place that tries to hard to be "fun" to compensate for the fact you're working 60+ hours every week, and 80+ during the all too often "crunch time".
The Wii doesn't have enough storage. They initially planned on a WiiWare release, but its just no capable of fitting it all in there.
They seriously need a Wii update to allow the use of USB storage for WiiWare and other downloadables.
That's exactly what it is. The cost to drill oil is still extremely low, in the $30/barrel range. Maybe even lower. From your wikipedia article, they are able to produce oil at around $80/barrel. So most of the money is still going to drilling oil wells, and shale oil production which produce 2-3x the profit at current market rates.
Well, in the last 2 months I've bought more DRM free music (Thanks Amazon!) than I have DRM'd music in my life time. Why? Because DRM music has been a nightmare. I could never get it to play right on my MP3 player, I don't own an iPod (Well I did, but I returned it) so the few songs I bought on iTunes were essentially trapped on my PC. My mom in the past bought music via the DRM'd Walmart store, but had such hassles she never did again.
Instead I've stuck to CD's. Nice simple, easy to copy. But with Amazon now offering up huge amounts of DRM free music I've been buying up out of print albums and guest spots some of my favorite artists have done.
Marconi is not famous because of the patent. He is famous as being the first one to propose using radio waves to send signals beyond LOS and that they could be used as a replacement for telegraph lines. At the time, his contemporaries believed Hertzian waves were only line of sight and so useless beyond a very short distance. It was his expiraments and work with the UK postal system that made people see the commercial application of Hertzian waves and drove much of the research that evolved into modern day radio.
Marconi was obsessed with sending wireless waves from the UK to the USA, and it is his being the first one to have a commercially successful ship-to-ship system that got him the fame.
I highly suggest the book Thunderstruck by Erik Larson which details the race and competition in regards to radio research as well as the publicity stunts and history that got Marconi's name engraved into history.

No, because then they would have to admit to having released the game before it was ready. Better to hype the game and "fix" it via hidden patch.
Hey, I remember that episode of Night Court. The main character was a parody of Andrew Dice Clay who was getting followed and harassed by a preacher who objected to his profane and sexist humor. At the end of the episode we learned the preacher was paid to boycott and protest the comic in order to get him free publicity.

But what about the smell? The city I used to live in (130k people) had a mushroom "factory" on the outside of town. On windy days you could smell it 5 miles away. Could you imagine that working in NYC? I don't think so./It might improve the smell in Newark though.
I can't wait for Richard Hoagland to get ahold of these. Then the real truth will come out! Imagine all the rocks which vaguely resemble man made objects he'll find.
That was one of my biggest complaints too. It just took to fucking long to get from one city to the next. I'd have friends over, go "Oh, you gotta really see this cool thing", boot up the game, realize I was on the wrong part of the map, and then have to say, "Well, go do something for 20 minutes and by then I should be close to what I want to show you."
Not to mention it was just too easy to get lost without having to look at the big map.
This is a serious problem when dealing with Chinese companies. Now that Google has opened offices in China and has staffed them with native Chinese people, they're going to have a hard time enforcing western style ideas about copyright and what constitutes "doing no evil". Its a problem we've run into in the past with our Chinese operations. The way the problem was "solved", by removing the engineers names, but still clearly using the other company's engine (they didn't remove the identical bugs), is something I have seen happen in the past when dealing with our R&D team in China when we've found them using code they "borrowed" either from open source code or from an engineers past employer. I've never seen it handled in public like this however.
Google is going to need to take some serious Q&A steps in their Chinese offices to keep stuff like this from happening again or else risk their Chinese office ruining the entire company's reputation.
This is essentially the end of VoIP if this decision holds. Basically, Verizon claims patents on connecting a VoIP line to a PSTN line and on common billing methods for phone service.
Verizon was the first one they went after because they are the most high profile. Expect them to leverage this victory to take on anyone else offer VoIP to PSTN service.
I don't know about cars, but "piracy" of motorcycles is really common, with many different companies competing to create the best quality bootleg. They basically buy the original motorcycle, and use the parts as the basis for new toolings to be produced in the chinese factories. Due to lack of technology, most copies are of motorcycles from the 1970's, however as China's mfg facilities improve they will be able to move up to more modern bikes.
I had this very conversation with a very devout Christian man who was working as a contractor for us. He was flabbergasted that I don't believe in god, yet don't drink, steal, womanize etc. He couldn't understand why I wouldn't partake in these things if I wasn't living in fear of divine retribution.
He was later busted by my company for falsifying billing and failing to deliver what he was contracted to do.
Morality doesn't come from fear of an invisible man, it comes from wanting to live in a good and pleasant world and realizing that your decisions and actions directly contribute to the world around you.
I work for a large company that makes networking equipment. I can state for a fact that MAC addresses are reused, not just by us, but by just about every networking vendor I know of.
This hasn't stopped the Enterprise Mission people from claiming conspiracy and that it is indeed still a face. Their web page is hilarious. One of the most recent articles has scans from a 1950's era Jack Kirby comic that featured a giant face on Mars as "proof" we knew about the face years ago, and that someone must have "leaked" the story to Jack Kirby.
Too much fun.
Ok, I know I'm being an idiot, but how does one see/use the new Yahoo Mail? I go to mail.yahoo.com, and I still see the same old interface that's been there forever. What do I need to do to activate the new GUI? I checked under options, and didn't see anything.
Uh, because this "untrustworthly looking startup" is founded by several of the people who created the original Sam and Max game at Lucasarts. Oh and because Steve Purcell (You may have heard of him, he created Sam and Max) is working directly with them on the game.

They most likely give the same word to multiple users and choose the word most often entered.
They stated they wanted to, but the Wii just doesn't have enough storage to fit the game.
Jeri is actually transgendered, so she is the one you should have put under "maybe two".

But its honestly not that much harder. Plenty of trojan programs out there that are pretty much ready to go.
