Who's fanning the flames of fear here? Just how many people are completely incapable of finding their way around without GPS? Seriously? If the guy driving the ambulance I'm in can't find his way around town without GPS then we've got bigger problems to worry about.
All my friends know how to code, so you obviously must be lazy if you can code it yourself. How dare you even ask if there's anything else available outside your personal knowledge. Just use one of the existing, though inadequate, products if you're too lazy to code yourself (and you obviously know how to code since I do).
Readable? I think the "point" of the map is VERY readable, since it's showing how the areas of high Democratic support are clustered with the major population centers. I don't think a slightly diff shade of red could convey the scale of this as well as the 3D spikes.
As for no one "finding out"... there's an article on BBC. Clearly someone did find out. We're into *duh* territory here.
No. What has been "found out" is that 58,000 ballots are missing. What has not been "found out" is the reason for the missing ballots. However, you seem to be another of the type of person who prefers to just jump right to a conclusion without one iota of evidence present to support it.
Which the post office themself says is highly unlikely.
Highly unlikely but not impossible. I mean, directly from your response:
a few mailbins could be left in a storage room
Hrm... Post Offices have both mailbins and storage rooms, don't they?
Yeah, which means someone else probably did it. Now, lets see... who has a vested interest in and history of suppressing votes in florida... rrr.... reee.... repuh.... republi.... republicaaa... (note: the completion of this word is left as an excersize to anyone with at least one functioning brain cell).
Those of us with at least one functioning brain cell still subscribe to the idea that there should probably be some form of proof before we go pinning the blame on any one person or person(s). So far all that's stated is 58,000 votes haven't arrived to people. Possibilities:
1) Massive conspiracy of a level impossible to operate without someone finding out and blowing the whistle.
2) Error on behalf of election board or post office.
So, would you care if the US were to stage a similiar campaign, or would you say it was an unwelcome intrusion into the politics of whatever country was targeted?
Explain to me the purpose of "wardriving". Are you planning on using the networks? If not, then why do it? Why do you care? Or is it some thrill you get looking through stuff that you otherwise wouldn't see if you weren't making some extra effort to "peep" on stuff? Is your life really so sad that this is the best activity you can find to fill your time?
And the biggest problem with your thinking is that your force it upon those that might not subscribe to it when you decide to acquire the music they have created without paying them what they ask for in return. It's fine for you to think music is free and freely acquire it from those who share your view. It is wrong for you to acquire the music freely from those who do not choose to offer it as such.
Those that lost faith in the process are those who never fully understood it in the first place, ie the electoral college and the possibility of a winner who didn't get the popular vote.
Question: Do you have any positive evidence to your assumption that Omega will discard their votes other than knowing the president of said company has a different political viewpoint than yourself?
It's become extremely said that people in your position have convinced themselves that they only way they will lose in November is massive corruption (on a level that would be impossible to hide I might add). Couldn't it be possible that there's just more people who don't believe as yourself? And the argument of "But I don't know a single person who's voting for Bush" doesn't hold water. Know why? Because it's obvious from your post that you would only hang around with people who share your political opinions since you already assume that anyone pro-Republican is a corrupt, baby-eating monster.
Ah, I get it. You're basing your entire view on the Olympic coverage on the 2 hour prime time highlight coverage. Have you even tried watching the coverage during the day on any of the many channels that are carrying it?
You know... I've yet to actually watch an event that I've seen the US win. Hell, I'm sitting here watching Women's weightlifting and there's not a US person in sight. Last night I watched quite a bit of men's gymnastics, which focused on the Romanian, Chinese and Japanes teams. Probably saw just a couple of minutes of the US team. But you just sit there not watching the covergage while deriding it for something that's not happening to the extent your preconceptions belive it would be.
Do you spend your day hiding underneath your bed for fear of everything that might someday possibliy happen? Slashdot is the home of the most pessimistically parinoid dipshits on the planet.
It's also got the French Military Victories thing too, though without an "I'm feeling lucky" button, it doesn't take you right to the page, just displays it as #1 in the search.
Strange how the rankings on these two are similiar to Google's right off the bat, eh?
Um... Mr. Fantastic's girlfriend went invisible. It was her brother that "caught fire". Unless there was a funky undertone to the story that I never caught about some forbidden male/male mutie love goin' on.

Interesting because I'm seeing the Beta interface by default a mere 7 minutes after your post.
Explain to me how they are "doing evil" here. They removed a feature. OMGLOL2004!!
Can you still get access to Usenet posts?
Yes
Are you stuck with only using Google for your Usenet access?
No
Did you live without this feature before Google was around to supply it?
Yes
Explain where the "evil" is coming from.

Not making them up? How can you launch ANY srike when there are no signs yet without making SOMETHING up?
So, your argument is that OO's apparently non-working natvie PDF exporter is better than Word not having one at all?
"Hey, it may be broken and unusable, but it's there and that's what counts!"

But won't somebody think of the possibily of abuse and privacy concerns?

Sorry, I'd rather not be forced into a union just because some guy's too stupid to read and understand some contract he signed with a company.
You seem to forget that Python had an American in the group old bean, so it's partially ours too.

Sorry man, but the word is used to mean malicious computer access as well. Words take on the meaning that the majority use them for.
Um... Mr. Fantastic's girlfriend went invisible. It was her brother that "caught fire". Unless there was a funky undertone to the story that I never caught about some forbidden male/male mutie love goin' on.
And which is cheaper? Putting up wallpaper or replacing every monitor in the building?
Exactly. Instead of 2 managers per 10 people, you now have 2 managers per 5 since management seems to hang around.
