Send a digital cable signal straight into your computer and dump the raw data on your hard disk, then play it back through a tv tuner. You can play it back as many times as you want to grab whatever channel(s) you want.

  4. The ACLU and NAMBLA on PATRIOT II Legislation Leaked · · Score: 0, Flamebait

I used to like the ACLU, but my veiws on them have changed some. As a teenage boy, the ACLU does not supprot my rights. They support NAMBLA for christsakes, i'm sorry, but defending child molesters... its just wrong. Also my ex Girlfriend made some good points against the ACLU(she was jewish, and couldn't stand the ACLU for supporting Neo-Nazis like they did), that further changed my attitudes. I know placing limits on free speech is worse, but c'mon, child rapists and Nazis.

Have you ever seen an episode of The Simpsons on a p2p network with the commercials intact?
Yes, yes i have. In fact some have the commercials ffwd through, you get the lines and everything plus the guy backing it up when he goes too far. The worst by far was one (CABF19 - Treehouse of Horror XII - 85,452KB) that was from a digital video camera pointed at a tv playing a tape of the episode.

  24. Just wondering... on Copyright Rumblings · · Score: 1

Is it illegal to trade music videos? Music videos are really a promotional tool, the record companies make little or no money from them, so whos getting hurt if theyre shared. I'd think the labels would want their promotional materials distributed at no cost to them. I download music videos that i can't see on mtv (which is all i have), and most of them have an MTV2 or much tag in the corner. Would companies have problems with people sharing commercials over p2p, it would save them the cost of more airtime.
