Despite the low market share, Apple's computer business is in good shape right now. I just don't see it. Apple's been on the brink before, but they keep fighting.
The new 4G iPod has buttons that depress when pushed (the new click wheel).
Personally, I think a dedicated off button is a bad idea. I wouldn't want to accidentally turn off my iPod.
Sure, it's the one-time alter-ego of Jean Grey Summers (as well as the cosmic entity that replaced her for a while).
(For you true comic-book geeks, also the one-time alter-ego of Rachel Summers and Baron Zemo).
It initially succeeded because it was the first large-capacity player that was small, Firewire-based, and had a good UI. Since then, the superior UI, style, and marketing have kept it at the top. I shudder thinking back on the days I used to add songs to my Creative Nomad using the craptacular PlayCenter software over USB 1.1! I knew right away the iPod was a significant breakthrough in this market.
Exactly. I haven't listened to the radio once since I got my first iPod. I don't miss it one bit. If I ever need a radio for emergency purposes, I'll use the one in my car.
Actually, it's the click wheel first seen on the iPod mini. The 1G iPod had a moving wheel surrounded by a thin wheel of clickable buttons. The 2G model replaced the moving wheel with a touch-sensitive one. The 3G model kept the touch-sensitive wheel, but replaced the four buttons around the wheel with a row of four touch-sensitive buttons above the wheel. The iPod mini has one wheel that is touch-sensitive (when scrolling) and clickable at the N, S, E, and W points.
Yeah, Temple Of Low Men does rock. I'd say it's Crowded House's best album (just edging out Together Alone). It's such a shame a truly phenomenal songwriter like Neil Finn isn't more well known and appreciated in America.
While not a true concept album, Crowded House's "Together Alone" has a definite flow and ambience. However, the songs are so strong that they work well both... well, together and alone.
So I can enjoy the comedic genius of "NewsRadio" whenever I want. I have all 97 episodes on 25 DVDs -- I've watched them more than anything else I own.
"The eyes are the window to the skull my friend."
"Soul."
"For those who have one, yes."
"But Jimmy has fancy plans... and pants to match."
Hey, I'm all for hyperbole, but calling the Transformers "unimaginative toys" is quite ridiculous. I can't think of a more imaginative toy... not even wonderful Lego.
They just hadn't finished implementing their custom menu/command keys in beta62.
In beta64, you can just open a tab and look in the file menu to see what I mean, the key combos are properly shown.
I see that now. When I originally checked the File menu, I didn't have any tabs. Silly me. Thanks for the correction.
like the close tab command occasionally closing the whole window instead. DOH!
That's what it's supposed to do (close the whole window). They decided to leave it standard instead of changing it like Camino did. However, they neglected to give a shortcut for closing tabs. I used KeyboardMaestro to assign it to Cmd-Shift-W.
I think you misunderstood me. I merely said it was hard to read through the close-minded bias, not that I personally cared one way or the other.
I think you misunderstood him. His point was that it wasn't close-minded bias at all, but merely an attempt at humor. Personally, I found it funny and thought it made the story much easier to read than just telling the facts. Obviously, YMMV.
Yeah, I guess 40 years qualifies as "more than 20" - way to sell Spidey short. He's been doing his thing since before the Force was a twinkle in Lucas's eye.
Bravestarr rocked. Still, it was no Visionaries, Knights of the Magickal Light!
"By nature's hand, by crafts, by art,
What once was one now fly apart!"
Spike said the line. The worst part of the movie was the complete absence of my favorite human, Chip Chase. I didn't mind no Sparkplug, but the lack of Chip really sucked. Anyway, Duke didn't actually die. Well, he did, but they added a line at the end of the movie saying he was OK due to the backlash over Prime's death in TF:TM.

While Windows Media 9 has optional DRM that is turned on by default, AAC doesn't add any DRM at all.

Disney was built on works in the public domain -- Snow White, Pinocchio, Cinderella, The Jungle Book, etc.
Probably, but the iTMS works with both. It also happens to be the only (legitimate) download service that currently works with Windows and Mac OS.

So "imaginative" = "real"? Hot Wheels are somehow more imaginative than vehicles that can also turn into robots? I just don't get it.

They also play in every player I've tried (granted, I've only tried 5).
You can use your QT5 key with the QT6 Preview. Just keep using the preview until it stops working (October?). OTOH, you could just buy a QT6 key.

Either the PS2 just went way up in price or you got shafted. What'd you sell, Roller?
