    Any team can add features, so long as their changes remain Free. The GPL only says "if your screwed up mentality requires permission to use code, then if you want to modify this program, you need to let others modify it also"

    No, actually, he isn't wrong. The BSD license permits GPL-type usage, but the GPL does not permit BSD-type usage.

    I've had the basic idea used for this for a while, but it's not really a few-person project (especially without graphics programmers). Anyone want to help?

    It wouldn't necessarily need to be free of charge, either-- something like this can easily fund itself similar to Second Life does, charging for services (virtual land, etc hosted on the server)

    If you want to get technical, this display is 4D and existing monitors are 3D. Current monitors have 3 dimentions: width, height, and time This thing has 4 dimentions: width, height, time, and depth

    Nope... Apple hardware is generally high quality as opposed to what Dell or Gateway might put in a computer.
    Also, Apple systems are based on the PPC processor, which is significantly better than x86.

    The only real reason to buy x86 is if you can't afford anything better.

    Maybe the Slashdot editors recognise that people have natural rights to modify and share information. Once you know something, nobody has the right to tell you what you can or cannot do with it.

    Just because it is illegal does not mean you should obey such unjust laws.

    Indeed, an immoral killing is immoral, but apparently many people do not realise that today, which is why it seems necessary for me to say obvious things such as "murder of the unborn is immoral".

    Self-defence would not be taking the life of someone, even if they die by your defence. Obviously, the goal is to protect your own right to life, not to take theirs.

    By "nobody", I mean "no human being". The Creator has the right to take away what He has given, which is everything, including all aspects of life.

    Why should it be their responsibility to dispose of your waste? Sure, they sold it to you, but after that it's yours. If you have a problem with trashing it, deal with it yourself.

    Probably the lack of registers and altivec, or something along those lines. I'm not aware of anyone who knows what their talking about that claims x86 is a good design...

    I am defining "murder" as killing of any creature that one does not have the right to kill. If the dictionary disagrees, that's not my problem. I've seen dictionaries that define "love" as lust, when the two are complete opposites.

    PPC is well documented... don't need insider access to emulate the CPU.
    Darwin is open source... don't need insider access to get hardware info.

    "Murder" by definition is killing of any creature that one does not have the right to kill. Nobody has the right to take the life of another human being.
    Claiming a mother killing her unborn child is acceptable is no different than claiming that I can acceptably kill someone visiting my apartment simply because they are here.

    Humans have the ability to attempt to judge right and wrong for themselves (as result of the forbidden apple), but judging the same as God (Who is perfect) will reap much better consequences than judging and acting differently (which is why eating the apple was a bad idea).

    Low-tech "box" becomes "boxes" and low-tech "virus" becomes "virii"

    If you actually read the website, you would see that there are plenty of reasons PP is just the KKK reorganised.

    If a family has serious reasons to put off another child, the parents in the family should not be making the attempt to procreate. Simple as that.
