You aren't a journalist I guess. Many are complaining that "clear wall" you believe in has been eroded mightily over the past twenty years and that advertising does in fact makes it impact felt on those in the editorial/reporting side of the business.
Proving yet again that former Canadian ministers are no less looney than the former secretaries/administration officials of past American presidencies.
Since my tax dollars are going to be wasted no matter what, I'd prefer they waste them on something more important -- such as money for Quebec ad agencies or corrupt government officials -- then holding parliamentary hearings on ET diplomacy.
Golly, could also be that many people never have a problem with Microsoft products. Like me. And if I'm being paid by Microsoft for this positive comment, I hope the cheque comes soon. My VISA bill is due.

They aren't too snappy with the updates. I'm acquintances with a Golden Globe and Emmy Award winning actor who has some incorrect in his bio and they haven't corrected it after repeated attempts over two years.
Firefox has achieved many of its goals regardless, with 10% of the web not using Internet Explorer (Firefox + Opera + Safari + Konq)
Interesting, I thought its goal was to simply make a better browser. I had no idea we were fighting an ideological war at the same time. And here I left my Little Red Book at home...
Nice of you too, by the way, to include three other browsers in Firefox's objectives considering most, if not all, have been around longer than Firefox.
I've been using Firefox for well over a year and have only hit *one* web site (Interland's support web site) that refused to work. I have no doubt there are others out there but this IE-only web site BS really has to end soon.
Nice try. Watch the movie in letterbox format and what do you see? Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino sitting at the same table. It's a story that's been repeated so often now that everyone believes it.
Thanks very much for the link to Aethera! I was looking for a replacement for Thunderbird that had PIM functionality (that worked, unlike the Sunbird plug-in). It's got some quirks but I think I just found exactly what I'm looking for.
One could argue that Bush's natural inclination isn't to lie where as Clinton's obviously was since he's so comfortable with doing it. Not that I belive that but one could argue it.
And that's a great option...if I know there is a new version of Firefox. I may know because I frequent/. but Joe, Jane and Aunt Millie may be left unprotected for weeks because they don't keep up with security bulletins or this web site because they have lives.
That's simply unacceptable. Whether the reason is good or bad, and I'm understanding of the bandwidth issue and the costs associated, we're leaving potentially millions of machines open to exploit. Hardly a claim to a more secure future.
I can't wait until 1.5 goes live and we can ditch this stupid unmodular system that we've been 'graced' with.
As usual means you wait up to two weeks before an arrow shows up or if you decide to manually check for updates under Tools>Options>Advanced>Software Updates.
I like Firefox but being forced to wait days -- or longer -- for a security update is utterly pathetic. If I wanted a browser with known exploits that I can't patch I'd use IE.
That's not what you said. You said that "Firefox is more unsecure, however given their speedy patching time, in say one year, Firefox will be more secure." No "if" in there.
It does mean that given this particular moment, Firefox is more unsecure, however given their speedy patching time, in say one year, Firefox will be more secure.
You pull that number from your ass? Go hit the Mozilla database and check out the years old bug reports that haven't been fixed yet and there is no indication they will be fixed any time soon, including your magical one year.
I like Firefox as much as the next man (check out my sig) but let's not make extravagent claims.
There was no such thing as IE pre version 3. It started at version 3, to equal the Navigator that was available at the time.
I'm sorry, but you are somewhat wrong. There were versions of IE before 3 but they weren't widely available. If you do some googling you can easily find the 1.0 version of IE around the Web...I used to have it on an old CDROM of ancient browsers that I made in the late 1990s.
While the British have the Who, the Beatles, and the Rolling Stones
I find it funny that the three bands you named as the height of English rock -- all of whom I love by the way -- all got their start singing American blues.
Really? When I was a kid I thought Fonzi was cool, then I grew up and realized he was some middle-aged actor.
Google is a company. That's it, that's all.
> Pluto is a dynamic example of what we might call an anti-greenhouse effect...
So does that mean scientists will continue to change what we can expect from Pluto? One decade they say it will get warmer, the next decade cooler?

It's been around since at least 1996. It's essentially a pay-for-placement news release service.

That said, IMDb kicks ass.
That's "heresy" and "al dente". Our Lord, the Flying Spaghetti Monster, is displeased.

Again, thank you!

Please, that interview was Clintonian.
WinMX has sucked for a long time, I'm not sure if we should really count this as a loss.
You know what's embarassing? I'm a Canadian...and I used the American spelling of localised.

Because you Brits insist on speaking English. When 1.0.7 is converted to English from American, you'll get your new localized version!

Besides, never heard of Elvis Presley?
