How about this: Each card will recieve a number of scanlines to process according to it's strength, therefore making the rendering speed similar, and after that syncing the speed to the lower one.
There are still problems with different features that might or might not be available on one of the cards such as pixel shaders. Also anti-aliasing can be weird.
Genociding cockatrices actually makes the game harder. Cockatrice corpses are an awesome weapon in the right hands, when u make sure you have gloves and can't fall into any pits or something. Hell.. it can kill Demogorgon in a single strike.
Keep the genocide until you reach Lichs... they are MUCH more worthy of it. Bless your genocide and kill L.
Finished it two weeks after first game. The trick is to use spoilers;) I mean, the day I stopped quaffing from fountains, I got much deeper. The day I understood how important Elbereth is, I got deeper. When I realized playing Valk is a piece of cake, I ascended.
Not such a hard game if you frequent #nethack @ freenode.org
why 2 commands and not just: tar -zxvf screensaver.tar.gz ???
And when you sudo, you enter YOUR password, not root's.
Moreover, the version of the "screensaver" in the./ directory is infact the user's version (unless that's not a standard Makefile). To run the global version, you just needa write: screensaver;)
OH YEA it sells... If you have seen the HL2 demo vids and read the comments, you would have seen many people refer to the awesome[1] AI. The vid shows that the hero runs into a house and blocks the door with a box and then the enemy soldier tries to break it open while the other one shoots at you from the window. And that the allies AI is actually worthwhile. They will shoot and hide and follow your orders belieavably. Many people said this is an awesome step towards a really believable world.
[1] Note: some people who have download and got the leaked HL2 code to compile say that this wasn't in fact AI as valve presented it but rather a standard cued effect. They have noted that even if you kill all soldiers which are near that door, it will still crash open for no apparant reason.
I haven't played it myself (not real GPU), but more than one friend of mine says the AI in FarCry is really awesome. If someone doesn't know, FarCry is an FPS situated in huge landscapes with a lot of stuff to interact with. When you hide for cover, the AI actually tells the enemies to change positions and then when you think you'll just pop out and hit where the enemies were, you'll be baffled to see they are actually hiding somewhere else!!! More than that, the same friend was in front of some werehouse and the enemies were situated in the back of it (inside). So instead of just charging towards you and blowing their cover as in most games, some actually fire suppressive fire while another troop went thru the back door, all around the werehouse and flanked him:) That's just awesome.
It wasn't infered from your post, but it is important to note that your do not need to recompile your code to get it to work. It wraps already compiled executables. Though it would be smart to compile with -g so that it tells your which lines the errors happend and such.
The idea of multiple labels is good, but I wonder if they could automate the process using bayesian filters for labels and not only to detect spam. Now _THAT_ will be nice.
" just because of the lame excuse "well Windows isn't GPL""
That's _NOT_ the reason they give. The reason they gave is that too many commercial companies used the GPL version of the library in their commercial software instead of using the pricy commercial version of the library, and they said it's impossible to go and sue all of them.
FilePlanet used to be fast and now it's utter slow and bloated crap of a download site. Moreover, I've seen more than one download site that actually offers BT downloads!!! (tho it seems the main site doesn't act as a seed since speed ain't that terrific)
"they do have a right to protect themselves from the market that wants to pay nothing."
Most people wouldn't mind paying for it if it was so damn expensive.
If they sell, hypothetically, whole albums for $1, i'm POSITIVE people would rather do that instead of wasting time on P2P. Ofcourse $1 is low, but it's more than 0$.
I'm pretty sure many people would pay if it was even 5$ per album.
At first I thought that my 30 spywares were A LOT (never had them since tho..), then a friend said his machine was slow, it found over 200. I was shocked. Then I told about it to other friends, and one found over 900 objects!!!!!! And it doesn't end there, one person I knew had the astounding number of around 2000 objects.
I was really amazed they actually got the machine to boot.
A kid sees he can't buy an M game, what will he do? You say the parent will it for them. In real life, the kid just goes and burns it from a friend or from warez.
First finger on left button Second finger on middle/wheel Third finger on right button
Takes time to get used to if you're used to 2-button mice, but this is simply the most natural way to hold it. This way you get access to all 3 buttons without moving any of the fingers at all! (except for up-down motion)

Interesting you mention DBZ... The character designer for Chrono Trigger is none other than DBZ's Akira Toriyama.

DDD also allows "undo"ing steps you've made and also shows the data structures in nice structures, with arrows to successors and such...
;)
It's a very nice tool to use when you are trying to debug your AVL tree for a homework assignment for a Data Structures course

Yea... about 20B$ according to speculations!
Say, when you throw an ogg, does it *splot* ?
Wow, that was my worst joke in ages!
I would have taken the PS2 and then invite the ch1x0r over to play Rez on the new PS2, with the vibrator accessory ofcourse ;)
and the second one is sourceforge.net ;)

Why did anyone mod this as troll?!

the speed of light / (440 nm) = 681.346495 terahertz

589 spyware objects is NOTHING!!!

What would you rather have in real life, more people shooting eachother or more people having sex?
In a sense, sex is much more natural than violence... (even tho violence did exist since forever, just as sex did)
A kid sees he can't buy an M game, what will he do?
You say the parent will it for them. In real life, the kid just goes and burns it from a friend or from warez.

Using the keyboard is nice and fast and all... but you can't play Quake (or any FPS) without the mouse.
Chrono Trigger!
One excellent squaresoft RPG for the SNES (and there's a PS version aswell)
