    The target market these days is the twenty-something male. This guy is not a good business man if he is devoting most of Nintendo's resources to children's games.

    I think the bottom line is that Europeans, in general, aren't nearly as obsessed with TV as Americans are (which, IMHO, is a good thing).

    One good thing HotBot did is promote the little HotBot search box for people to include in their web pages. Good promotion of this sort of thing acts as a nice utilitie for web masters and greatly expands their reach.

    All the local ISPs in my area are selling DSL. I guess they are just re-selling Pac Bell's DSL...is that your point?

    I don't use the friend feature because I upmod my real friends on principle. I like the downmodding freaks idea though.

    I have SBC DSL and haven't installed any of their software. I am just using a Lynksys router. I would never install any of their software.

    True enough. People should venture out of civilization every once in a while. They need to be reminded that they are animals and that the world outside of our paved-over cities is a beautiful place.

Ironically, the solution is to remove the package, potentially removing protection from other compromises. There's a CERT advisory, as well as an article posted on Extremetech." Yikes, one would hope there's a forthcoming patch in the works.

    Yeah, not really much to discuss on this one. Hopefully they will come out with another patch soon. How long was the bad patch out before they realized the problem?

    True enough. I think the CS CDs that are in stores are about the same price as the Half-Life only CDs. So, either way they are selling just one CD (at roughly standard price) per gamer...lamer or not.

    Very smart indeed! Just think about how successful Counter-Strike is. Sierra/Valve doesn't make anything from Counter-Strike but they make boat-loads from the Half-Life game that you need to run Counter-Strike.
