I'd say it applies to both equally. Most politicians are where they are because they have roots deep in big corporations via their direct blood family or their spouse. They have the money so start off running for government then once voted in they can build up their companies even more.
I can already hear the Internet scams popping up right now.
You go to some family get-together. Uncle: Hey Jimmy, I got that message about the laptop you wanted. I donated $300 for you! Jimmy: Umm, I never signed up for any laptop nor did I send you a request to donate to buy one for me. *crickets*
You can give them all the recommendations you want. When they see a neat flashy competitors site, they want one just the same or better. In this business you do what the masses thinks is 'cool' not what the small fraction of tech nerds want.
And yes I would prefer a small simple html site as well but that doesn't happen in the real world anymore.
If it's only available in 3D and/or IMAX I won't be seeing it, at least not in a theater. 3D gives me a migraine and IMAX cost more to sit closer to a screen.
What would you recommend? Not tryin to be a prick but just curious as I'm at a crossroads with my company. We're considering diving into mobile web development. I myself have taken a look at and toyed with jQuery Mobile and was considering it. I use the standard one on all full size websites and love it.
And also feed our own starving people. I run into 1-2 a day begging for $1 or a hot-dog on one 1/4 mile street while walking. Our city isn't known for many homeless so I can only imagine what NY or something is like.
Remember people walking around talking to themselves? Remember the "I'm not talking to you, I'm on the phone" hand gesture?
It combined being rude with wearing a dorky looking apparatus.
I never understood how standing in a subway or on a public street talking on your bluetooth was rude. Now talking on it while also standing in line ordering something at McDonalds, that's rude.
Then you better wear pantyhose or a ski mask when you go to McDonalds.
If you want to remain anonymous then maybe you shouldn't ever come out of your basement. Have pizza delivered and tell them to leave it on the doorstep and slip the payment through the mail slot. Also, stick to mowing neighbors grass and shoveling snow for your job. Something where you don't have to pay taxes. Don't forget that ski mask when you go out.
so individuals of a country stand for all of those in that country.
I'll believe they are our allies when they storm the little punks house with our FBI agents to arrest them and get our plans back. Until then, they are just as involved in my book.
Unless you're playing some old Warcraft 2 or Duke Nukem game, the games today don't require you to start-up and host the server side anymore. The only recent game I can think of that did this was Terraria which isn't even developed for anymore.
I kinda figured this goes against First-sale. How can the publisher demand that the used product be sold for a set amount then try to take a cut? They already got their cut from the first sale. What's next? Auto manufactures going after used car dealers?
If the pay is good then the extra perks offered are optionally consumed. Just because it's free doesn't mean you have to eat/drink it. I would rather drink water with a small amount of Mio added for flavor (I can't stand plain water). The primary perk(s) I want, being able to dress casually every day (shorts if I want) and listening to music without headphones.
BTW My company use to offer free soda but due to stupid employees opening cans then leaving them all over the office, soda is now 25 cents/can. Personally I would raise it to 50 cents but then again I rarely drink it so I don't care.
True but I'm expecting the phone manufactures and/or carriers to remove that option once they realize people use it. Also there seems to be a way to disable the Disable button from within the app. I'm not sure it the app requires special system permissions to do that or if it's some simple on/off flag that's added to the app.
But yeah I rooted my HTC Thunderbolt to rip out things like Slacker, Blockbuster and some random Twitter app (and many others). Even though I never used them they seemed to randomly start up. Pissed me off.
I still can't understand why anyone would want to watch movies on their cell phone. Tethered to a tablet maybe but why not just wait till you're at home and watch it on your big screen TV.
I still have unlimited on Verizon and my average monthly usage is about 3-4gigs most of which is streaming music via tethering to my tablet while driving. I think some people just try to use as much as they can for shits and giggles.
2GB/month but if you're a good talker you may get 4GB/month at the same cost. I myself am still on Verizon unlimited from being grandfathered in 2 years ago. They did away with unlimited 2 months after I got my contract. There are two other carriers that still offer unlimited data but one of them (T-Mobile) still has limited coverage in outlying areas. Sprint being the other, well in my area they are pure shit. A guy I work with has a hard time making or receiving calls from mid-late afternoon due to over selling in this area.

And microsoft then sells your list of contacts to marketers or uses it themselves to spam.

Well sadly, web developers have to make it how the paying clients want it. They have no real choice if they want to get paid.

and that Google thinks it still retains the ownership of it?
I'm going to assume you never ever EVER beta tested anything in your life.

You could always install "ScriptSafe" for Chrome (or NoScript for FF) and blacklist JS from those domains.
I guess I'm lucky because I can where I work. Greatly helps my programming.

Are they planing on supplying Internet Porn to the Australian outback tribes or something? =)
I think Hulu is a different ballgame. You pay for Hulu+ and still get ads.

That company name sounds like a Who's On First skit in the making.

Only you won't be able to uninstall this trial crap. It will be force upon you just like all this bloatware apps that you never use.
