I've ran into some web sites where I wanted to watch a video and it wouldn't even load without allowing Javascript from doubleclick.com. IMDB.com use to be one of them but they seemed to have changed since. Blocking content like this at the router and not being able to selectively allow things even if temporary could be annoying at times.
Seeing as NoScript either allows or blocks the root domain by default, all an add company has to start doing is having you point a sub-domain to some IP on the add hosting sight. doubleclick.slashdot.org would be the same as ads.doubleclick.com. Yes over time NoScript would adjust and you would have to start allowing each individual sub-domain.
Personally I dislike windows (GUI) servers. The GUI seems to hog to much resources that's really not needed. On my Linux servers I still use Fluxbox as a GUI when needed.
I can call it every day and complain about all the Chinese IP's slamming the fuck out of my network. Not that it will do any good but at least I can vent some rage at someone.
The lack of Games and App support for linux. Examples: Photoshop, StarCraft 2, World of Warcraft and hardware drive support. Driver's will in time be released but they are often several months later.
Sure WoW runs fine in Wine but why bother dealing with 2 OS's for just one game?
Over all I just find it to much of a headache now to deal with keeping two OS's up-to-date and working. If Apple released their OS X for the PC I just might buy it for shits and giggles. I'm no big fan of Apple but their OS (tweaked linux) is kinda cool.
I've been using version 7 for some time now (in beta). It's not Mozilla's fault that add-on devs aren't updating their add-ons. I have never seen NoScript not work after a FF update because the dev keeps it updated and ready for the next release.
Yes there are s few cases where just viewing the email will infect your computer however MOST of the email virii these days require user interaction by viewing/running the attached file. If you deny then then you're obviously stuck in the mid to late 90's.
Um... they do patch windows vulnerabilities. Not everyone installs them in a timely fashion though
Or Microsoft don't release them in a timely fashion. Most of the time they have the problem fixed the next day but wait till their next wave of patch releases which could be 2-3 weeks down the road.
And when someone calls 911, they HAVE to dispatch someone out to the location even if the caller said everything is ok. I have a sister that worked as a 911 dispatcher for several years and they had to do this many times.
If you're out hiking there is no need perfectly touch-up a photo. You can do all this when you return home on your powerful desktop or laptop. When you're out in the field you just take the photos and save them to an external storage device so you can free up space on your memory cards.
That's all find and dandy, and yes a lot of people have a cell phone these days, but there are still hundreds of millions without them and others that don't have this option on their email service.
Even with the small amount if email accounts on my mail server (~6000) I'm having to deal with 1-2 of these compromised accounts a week on average. Most of the time they use squirrelmail to send out the spam.
Maybe the fact they are using public (tax payers) money. I know many things this money could better serve. Maybe some military on the US/Mexico border for starters.

Truth hurts and some people just can't accept it. I'm sure someone will say those numbers are made-up.

Like saving money not buying aspirin for all the headaches from managing a Windows/IIS server?
Doesn't hurt to try and I will try. If I don't get one then oh well. No lose on my part at all nor will I be butt hurt either.

Would have been awesome if everyone got this on their TV's
Add-ons break on a regular basis

It's not sony's fault that they were using an out of date unpatched version of apache, it's the small group of script kiddies that realized it.
But if they are knowingly running unpatched versions then they too are at fault. It's their responsibility to keep their software updated.
No matter how much you patch, you can't patch stupid people that click on the fake ads and scam emails.
Maybe they are hoping FB catches on and buys them out?

Who said his DSLR supported HD video let alone any video. Mine doesn't so my setup works for me.
I'm not so sure about that..
My iPad + iPad Camera Connection Kit + Filterstorm Pro & Brushes have worked nicely for me.

Their entire letter reads as though it was taken right out of an episode of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. I couldn't help but laugh. I'm shocked they aren't using The Laughing Man logo as well.
Having high torque means the frame is strong right? Just asking...
Try voting the bastards out. It's hard, but a lot less bloody.
Only to be replaced by bastards. It's a never ending cycle. A lose lose situation. Pretty sad.
