Not really. They *could* have done all this before making a website. What is wrong with doing a website but on your local network. Then we you actually have something to release, THEN you release the website. Or for that matter a simple Sourceforge intro page.
Hey, look at us, this is "insert your name". We don't have anything to release, but if your interested in helping, go "insert link" here,
It makes me think of vaporware when the website has been in existence for months with promise of code.. but still no code has been released.
I just love it when people make websites with revision systems BEFORE releasing code. Morons.. Whatever happened to HAVING something, THEN making a website? Its like the website is more important than the code.
Is there an idiot gene that somehow got lost? Did you really expect that spammers would NOT start doing this? Whoever allows anonymous comments on their blog site deserve whatever they get.
This is a subject I feel deeply about. I do my part to make the world Greener. I drive a 12 year old car that gets 50+ mpg (Honda CRX). I recycle all my plastics and beer cans. But I am just one person out of millions that really gives a damn.
Look at the vehicles produced in America. They get bigger every year. Vehicles today get about the same gas mileage as they did in the 70s. Where is technology?
I live in Texas where the best selling vehicles are trucks, suburbans and H2s. And you know what I've noticed? Most of the time, these vehicles haul one or 2 people on the highway or in town. That's it!
Why don't they treat the *real* problem. As most of us know, they would be better teaching about the dangers of being a script kiddie than stealing movies. You can do a whole lot more harm with the later. Do we really want another So.Big?
Too bad there isn't enough interest in space research anymore. Everybody is too focused on their lattes and PDAs. You gotta look UP people! Where do you think Velcro came from?
Since when has legislation ever stopped anything before? Just another useless law on the books. If they really took a close look AT the spam they would realize its coming from outside the USA. Which we could never enforce the law, heck, we can't even enforce our own borders, what makes you think we can enforce this Spam bill on Joe Schmo?
There is a good side to this. If there are copies of DVD screeners floating around, the MPAA will know who is releasing them on the internet. They can stop their barraging of us average users and turn it towards their own people.
The reset plug is always 2 pins. The problem I just frickin HATE is the Power LED. Its either 2 pins or 3 pins. And the motherboard is always 2 pins. ARGH!!!!!!
Unfortunately, technology like this won't be used. There will always be a portion of people who will refuse to use new technology. It really makes me sad because we could be using all sorts of energy devices to start freeing us of from the coming fuel crisis.
Sorry, but the subject says it all. And it is strictly a cost opinion. A year ago, my office bought 8 180gig U160 SCSI drives for a price of $1160 each. Today you can buy a 200 gig IDE for under $200. And in real world use, the speed is relatively the same.
Oh and did I mention to even use U160 you need either a kick butt motherboard or a $500 SCSI card?
Even most RAID enclosure vendors are going to IDE drives.
Personally, I wait a year for the *new* stuff to drop in price. I don't need a 3.06 ghz Xeon when my present 1.3 ghz laptop does things pretty fast. I will never understand why people need the bestest, fastest hardware when all their doing is trying to load Office quicker.
Why spend a few thousand dollars on a gaming computer that will be obsolete in a year? Just plunk down $99-$250 for a gaming console. No more whirling of 15 case fans and sucking of A/C power like an SUV.
Whatever happened to having things small and quiet?

I will never own a truck simply for the fact that all my friends will be asking ME to help them move ;)

C-level programmers
Money does buy everything.
LIGHT THE SUCKER!
And you forgot plenty 'o rolls of duct tape. Now instead of "200 mile an hour tape", its "100000 mile an hour tape."

Sick 'em boys!
Roadmap of the future of Linux:
WORLD DOMINATION!
Oh poor baby wa-baby, I must have PO'ed a Mac user to get modded as Troll.
Despite the overzealousness of VT engineers about their supercomputer beowulf based on Macs, Macs still sux!
It all depends on how you use and drain the batteries. If your a lead foot, then yeah, they'd probably last a year.

Your forgetting the fact that for the price of all those SCSI drives and controller, you can buy one big, fast IDE drive.

I'll be the first. "yeah sure we do!" If we don't do it somebody else will, like China for example.
Why is this news in the first place? Like I really wanna hear about a loser spammer who is a white trash pimp. C'mon ladies, post good stuff!!

The poster needs to learn how to type. Looks like Engrish to me.
