Wake me up when a SSD doesn't cost 10 times as much as a HDD for the same capacity.
Really, common users see a unit that costs 70$ (seagate 2TB 7200RPM) versus one that costs 550$ or more (crucial 2TB SSD, samsung's is 10x the listed HDD price) and they will gladly save their money.
I bought a crucial 500GB 2 years ago for little over 220$, and today the same drive is about 120$. So they are going down, but as more people adopt SSD, the HDD's price will go down as well.
That's the whole problem. You are voting for your candidate and specifically said you preferred Hillary over Trump. But by voting third party, means that Trump will be favored, therefore you are actually helping him thus contradicting your purpose.
I thought that to make CUPS work with a printer it must have support for it, so you just can't "add PostScript" support to a printer that won't understand it?
We have an old ibm iseries server that needs PCL support on a printer in order to be able to print anything besides text.
Samsung sometimes rebrands other companies' printers, such as xerox. And if you have special requirements, such as PostScript or PCL, look elsewhere. These are supposed to be cheap printers
As a Venezuelan that has lost nearly 20 pounds in less than 9 months due to food being scarce and expensive, i laugh every time someone in the US see similarities between Obama and Chavez, or call Obama "socialist".
People in my country are addicted to smartphones, particularly texting over whatsapp or your im program of choice. I do this myself but i know for a fast that most people here can't. Ban is the only way to go.
I have, and their syntax seem like you are reading some perl code. It's hard to understand what the script does by just looking at it unless you are a sed/awk guru. The powershell commands can be understood even if you don't know anything about them, and can be quite shorter to boot. I don't have an example handy (i read some on a powershell book), but powershell's main feature is that everything is an object, therefore you can expose their methods/properties and have some great features. In bash, everything is just... text...
Piping is really enhanced and customizable in Powershell compared to bash. It's really a nice feature. On linux, piping commands in bash are extremely limited. mostly because the command you pipe from cannot customize what data it is going to output to the command you pipe to.
As usual, Microsoft likes to integrate heavily whatever they are making, and it shows.
As used in Venezuela and some other latin american countries (don't know if somewhere else), there are semaphores with countdown timers, so you can see exactly in how much seconds the color will change.
They must be more expensive to operate, but they are really useful
If you actually try to install a third party app to handle PDF's, (tested with sumatrapdf), windows 10 will intercept the file association change and revert it because it sees it as a hacking attempt. You must change it manually by going to the Default Programs option.
I yank the power cable 2 times, and it didn't work, honest. I tried everything in my knowledge to get to the F8 menu and couldn't do it. Why leave to MS to decide when to launch the F8 menu? Disabling fast startup is cheap.
in my experience the only problems that windows 8/10 detect is when windows is hosed due to a HDD problem. But just last week, i couldn't get windows 10 to boot properly, windows loaded but before the ctrl-alt-del screen it just freezed therefore windows "thought" it loaded properly and wouldn't get me the safe mode.
If i had F8 enabled i could have used safe mode to use system restore to an earlier day instead of having to reformat.
Sadly Johnson is a dufus and can't even name one living president he likes. And earlier he didn't even know what Aleppo was.
windows server 2016 comes with container support built in, and guess what cloud platform it uses? Docker.
I know that, but not everything done in the US is smart. You say "10 dollars", not "Dollars 10", therefore i will put the $ after the amount.
You also don't use the metric system :D

sorry, english isn't my native language. In spanish, the equivalent would be "trabajo de equipo" (trabajo=work, equipo=team)
This is a work effort. To first ask the questions we must get the interview, which Slashdot staff did.
If you work in IT 100 Mbps is unacceptable, especially if you move big data such as backups and OS images.
the 3.18 console version runs decent. booted in about 40 seconds, including the download.

That's why the term "lesser evil" exists.

...putting the router in a room that is NOT your bedroom?

IMHO there are more similarities between Chavez and Trump.

there wasn't end to end encryption before the buyout, this was just enabled a few months ago. Lack of encryption was the reason telegram was started.

There's already an alpha version and it was stated late last year that 3.0 would be released around christmas 2016.
I just clicked on the lower right section of virtualbox where the network adapter is, and just unchecked the "network cable attached" option.
Brand name machines don't have a reset button, but i tried yanking the power cable and it didn't work.
