180 Solutions has forever ruined the free multimedia industry of the internet. Anytime I see a "free screensaver" or "free desktop wallpaper", they're usually somehow connected with spyware and adware.
I especially like the ability for them to fit into existing laptops (in the media bay), rather than only working with new, specially-designed laptops. Overall it sounds great, however expensive. It'd probably be years before they can get the price down to a reasonable level. Either way, it might not be a bad idea to go invest in fuel cell stocks now.:)

Hey, if they make a great browser like Firefox, they deserve it. I just tried the new IE7, and it's horrible imo. Too overdone. I like firefox's simplicity and power.
Look at Google. They have very few offices, but instead many small rooms with 4-6 people in each. They say it enhances collaboration through discussion and brainstorming. If you're ever unsure about something, you can turn around and ask someone very quickly.
To me personally, office space doesn't mean much. I almost prefer to work with others around rather than being isolated in an office by myself.

Sounds horrible. First we have to go through 500 options over a telephone menu to reach the right person, now there is no more people. And as horrible as ebay/paypal's customer service is anyway... this will remove even more personal contact. Ugh.

I wouldn't trust a premade water-cooling setup. There's a certain ease-of-mind to putting it together yourself and knowing the parts are all good quality inside.

Heh, it's a losing battle. Even though I'm very against the RIAA and all bodies like that, such need to exist to protect intellectual property. Without them we would stop getting new content. The scary part is with such few votes, it's possible for them to be successful.

Why go this direction? Hasn't TV internet already pretty much flopped? WebTV sucks... I don't think they're going the right direction. They should try innovating online solutions like Google.
This is just the next step in Yahoo, Google, and Microsoft fighting to provide more features than any other website. Google buys Blogger, so Yahoo needs delicious. Google makes maps, so MSN needs to make them also. Everyone's copying each other, and Google usually starts it.

With all the discussion of blogs recently in the news, this is just another example of it.
The past month's issue of Fortune featured "Attack of the Blogs" as the cover story.

And their popups/popunders.... ugh.

I bet Apple is PISSED right now. They're handing all their technology over to Microsoft.

Erm, I mean open and closed source software. Nessus for example.

How is this anything new? There is open source (and closed) that has been available for a while that does this.

Nice article. I read the entire thing. Good information. Not sure it's worthy of a slashdot post though.
