    There is no longer any reason to trust the media. Its a sad thing to say that. They used to stand for something better than the thugs that now own them and shake their leashes. There never was a reason to trust the media. There just used to be nothing to check them against. That has changed recently.

    Failure/Success is pretty much defined as whatever the parents think it is.

    They're the people who have the most incentive to get it right.

    Thats why the voucher system would be good. It would introduce some sort of feedback into the public school system. It would make it easier for parents to take their kids out of bad public schools, if at some cost.

    You just learned the first lesson. You can't trust the BBC or the radio to give you good political info.

    They couldnt find a clue if it hit them in the face.

    Try to find good British blogs/websites. They generally have better info on issues like this.

    Slashdot doesnt cover much british politics at all.

    So many people seem obsessed with comparing Bush with Saddam/Hitler/Stalin/Pol Pot whoever. My reply is: Grow Up. If you truly cant see the difference between Bush and Saddam, then I truly feel sorry for you.

    C02 isnt just about SUVs, its about expansion and growth. Take a gamble so people can expand and grow, definitely. Progress needs excess resources. You dont see people barely surviving people doing research.
