Keyboard - Show me a pocket PC with a built-in keyboard at $250 and I'll be happy to take a look.
Multi-tasking - I've been forced to use my Treo 90 for the past few weeks. While it's a sweet little machine single tasking SUCKS ASS!!!
Software availabillity - In the time since this thing has come out there has been a hell of a lot of software become available for it. Much of it is as good as any Palm/Pocket PC apps but FREEEEEEE!!!!!
Expandability - I bought a.25 GB CF card for $40 the other day turning my Zaurus into a flash ram mp3 player.
Actually the job market for people with experience is pretty good right now. You may take a pay cut, but jobs for seasoned admins are never hard to find.
I would only point out that back then "arms" meant single shot muzzle loading rifles.
This leads me to the interpretation that I enjoy, that is the National Guard can have all the weapons they want.
Cheers,
Bill

Go reread the dang thing. The second amendment was designed to be interpreted differently by everyone that read it IMHO.
I could just as easily debate either interpretation.

The ACLU's policy on prayer [aclu.org] disagrees with all Americans who have even minimal religious beliefs. Their policy makes no sense: the Constitution guarantees the right to freely exercise religion in prison [aclu.org], but not on public school grounds?!
Exactly. School grounds that I help pay for should not be used to support religious beleifs that I do not support. Those kids can pray at home.
Prison is home for the poor bastards what live there. Those mopes got no other place to go.
The ACLU is the only* organization that I am aware of whose sole purpose is to protect our Constitution and Bill of Rights. This political grounding is the envy of the world.
The two instruments are under fierce attack by Government and mega-corporations.

Almost exactly 20 years ago Chase Manhattan Bank tasked my buddy Charles (?) and I to hack thier Diebold branch alarm system.
To our surprise it used a simple lookup table. The mainframe would poll a branch asking about a specific alarm. The server located at the branch would respond with a code for "OK".
THE SAME CODE EVERY TIME!
We cut the telco lines and alligator clipped our TRS-100 (way cool early laptop) and using a BASIC program did a look-up (which my partner wrote a coolie algorithm for), responded "Everything's OK Here!", and went to lunch.
After screwing off for several hours we told our managers that we had spoofed thier branch alarm system.
They traveled to Diebold who swore up and down how great thier encryption was. The Chase guys slid our report across the table and watched the Engineers turn white as ghosts as they read it.
HAHAHAHAHA What a bunch of dumbasses!

I saw this today at the Sony store on N Michigan in Chicago.
The screen was very, very good, readable at 1280x768 and the whole thing was astonishingly light (I have a sub 5 lb Dell with a 12" 800x600 and no optical disc)
However the lousy chicklet keyboard is a dealkiller for me.
The thought that flew over your head was that the K&R C book had many editors. In 1983 the EDITORS pissed me off by not having some low level geek like yourself type all the K&R code in and try it.
Even tho you are an AC my ego forces me to correct the record. I had a Mac LC before I joined forces with Satan.
Cheers!
Suffering severe OS X lust I am days, nay hours, away from my first Mac in 10 or so years.

How is this better than my Palm?

(or Zaurus?)
We sold formatted floppies for $10 a pop. This was twenty years ago mind you.
Because the OS was our own (a sweet message based V7 unix clone) there was no other way for our customers to format floppies.

Five months later and out of the blue HP called me back to work in a completely different division.
At half pay.
Still, I would have slept with someone to get that job.
Good luck to all my unemployed Brothers and Sisters!
