    I don't see google accepting to store my info encrypted.

    I don't know about amazon's service, or any other, but I think the only way to achieve security is to actually rent servers or at least VPS.

    This cloud thing is a synonim for cluster and that has lived for long years

    averybody thought that 60s was the hippie era !!

    Today, with the guilty on both parents working, the montesori stuff, psicology, .... we are way more hippies than our parents.

    I work for my kids and wife, but my girls better appreciate what they have, because we might not have it forever.

    Puting a screen anywhere is easy, but what about the signal to make it do anything besides stand still in monochromatic background mode.

    I don't work for VMware, but you're right, I currentyly don't use any ESX, but I would use it at home if I would use any kind of virtualization on regular basis (for windows, for linux there are a lot of better options)

    I haven't seen a BSOD on XP for a while, but can surely see one if I do similar tasks as in linux (testing LAMP, firewall, mail, snort, VPN, etc).

    The perfect example of "similarity" would be kernel interchangeability, I don't think is totally transparent between debian-ubuntu, but I would surely guess is mostly impossible with freebsd-macosx

    A lot of people thinks that reiser's code is not really that friendly, besides, Hans is known to work on what he wants, not what is good for people, and the newer version of reisers FS is not finished...

    that is enough explanation for me, even when I expected Hans to be inocent, and I actually kind of admire him for his work.
